Transformers

The movie was great. It certainly impressed me. I liked every bit of humor it had. Here are some of the things I didn't like:

1. Michael Bay's signature camera work--zoom in and shake the camera to give that dizzying chaotic effect. That annoyed me half the time.

2.
Megatron seems to have be deliberately underrated as a villain. While people in the theater cheered for the appearance of Optimus, not one showed the same love for Megatron. How disappointing.

3. No Ravage. T_T

4.
Apparently, Hugo Weaving lends his voice for Megatron. You can hardly recognize him.

That camera work drove me crazy. It was so fast and blurry my eyes were out of focus the entire time and it nearly gave me a headache.

Also agree with the second one, they really downplayed him and made him seem much less ominous than he was originally, i still liked him alot though.

Omg...Am I crazy or is the Police Car supposed to be on the good side? I swear there is a good police car in Transformers.

Movie itself was good, i do have to agree on Megatron however. He seriously lacked the screen time that he would have deserved. Hopefully in the sequal his alter ego will get in more time.

Hayete might you be confusing that for like the ambulance in one of the later series which is red alert?

I agree that Megatron didn't get the screentime that he deserved, but then again, it kept the suspense in place, so that we weren't seeing too much of him like we saw too much of the shark in Jaws.

By not seeing him, and knowing that he's actually present in the plot, it gets us wondering and anxious as to how he makes his appearance and what he's going to do with the screentime actually alloted to him.
Unless you mean, more fight scenes, then yes, totally and unconditionally agree. :P

Seen it last night and I was highly impressed, although the robots deserved more screentime then the humans lol!

there was. but it's name was prowler. the one in the movie was not a police car in any of the cartoons, but the creators felt it would be right if something that looks like it may be there to "protect and serve" be a decepticon. it sort of gives the feeling that you can't trust anything.

I was really impressed by it, actually. I don't know why it appeals to me so much, but I can't stop obsessing about it. Maybe it's because it's the next-gen of Beast Wars; maybe it's because the old characters have been upgraded; maybe it's because it was a great film in all aspects, but either way, I'm giving it a 10/10.

I've never been into Transformers but I do really want to see that movie. It looks pretty good. The developers have also cranked out some other good animated flicks.

You haven't seen it yet? It's honestly one of the best movies so far this year. The hype (I dunno, has there been any?) is definitely well-deserved and the actors played their parts well. The thing about this is that it's somewhat long but it really shouldn't matter.

Also, DON'T sit in the front or anywhere near the first 4 rows of the whatsoever if you like to keep your eardrums somewhat intact. :P
Man the sound in this movie is something to behold alright.

I honestly preffered watching The Simpsons Movie, Transformers was good for action but The Simpsons Movie had way more laughs in it.

Optimus Prime let me down, he was getting pwned by Megatron.

I too thought Optimus prime was a let down - i expected him and megatron to be equals, but it kinda sucked how he went in and just...got pwnd.

I think the simspons movie = best comedy and transformers = best action film of 2007.

I have yet to watch it,
But from watching trailers it's very cool, and lots of action which is love movie with lots of actions and explosions.

I tried the game out too, that's pretty awesome too, but difficult for me to control lol.

Yup, a topic for the discussion of the 2007 Transformers movie.

I've never been a Transformers fan, but I loved this film... dispite it's many faults.

The Transformers themselves are visually stunning, and the sound effects for them are awesome!!

Bumblebess is my favourite!!

I was really pissed at Prime for letting the humans take Bumble away. His excuse? They couldn't save him without harming the humans. Er... yes you could. Not to mention he'd previously smashed-in the car the Sector Seven guys were taking Sam away in. Kind of a stupidly dangerous thing to do when you don't wanna hurt humans, let alone your little hero. :|

But that's just Prime, to me. I don't like him. He's a git.

I honestly feel for Bumble everytime I watch this movie and he gets caught. He makes the most painful sounds and it's really upsetting. The poor guy.

And why does it take so damn long to get him back!? If I were Sam, I wouldn't go anywhere without getting Bumble back first. Instead, he's being screwed with the entire time they're all busy chatting.

Frenzy's hilarious!! He's like a little robotic gremlin or somethin'!! Haha!!

My first problem with this movie is Mikaela. She's just your typical eye-candy placement for all the sad, sad, guys of the world (ps: I don't mean all guys, just the sad ones). I mean, as if giant, talking, transforming, CG robots beating the crap out of eachother and blowing stuff up wasn't enough reason to see this movie!

Also, the garden scene was way too long and way too stupid. And just gives me more reason to dislike Prime as he acts like a complete prat.

The little kid at the pool is just stupid as well. ¬_¬;

There's also a couple of points during the big battle scene that really slow the pace down too much.

Jazz's death was kinda... anti-climatic too. He may as well of just been an no-named extra or something.

One of the biggest problems with this film is that the Transformers themselves seem to be nothing more than co-stars to the fleshies. I'm hoping the sequels will be more bot based than hume.

And I hate the whole "I'll drive, you shoot." Yeah, like he needs to be told! And then she's screaming at him to "Shoot! Shoot!"... shut the f*ck up!! He knows!!

And what's with the truck scene with her anyways? One minute it won't move and that's the big thing; oh no, she can't get Bumble to safety, but then, all of a sudden; it's fine.

Oh, the soundtrack to this movie's great!! Just wanted to add a positive. ^^;

Anyways, that'll do for now. I did a proper review back when I first saw this movie, but I can't remember (or find) it.

Your views?

Anyone else get fed-up of hearing Prime go on about how he'd "sacrifice himself"? He sounded like he was constantly looking for attention and praise for being such a great hero or something.

Oh yeah, something else; why do they say they didn't think Megatron was a threat (when asked why it'd been kept secret)? Obviously they must've thought he was (or could have been) a threat , or they wouldn't have kept him on-ice!!

But I guess that's another dig this movie throws at the US Government (and it throws alot - lol).

Also, anyone else wonder if Sam putting the AllSpark in Megatron's chest could actually turn-out to be a bad thing!?
