Some stuff I've done in the past few days.

And I did 4 versions of this one, but I can't really decide which looks best. Your opinion would help me a lot :)

The colors are too strong and in some sigs the background is oversharped.

The last sig is the best.
 
Strong colors work out for me though lol. And when you say overshaped, do you mean too much stuff is in it?
 
I would say in the first 2 there is too much in the background. And the background of 1 is over-sharpened.

In the second two, the render hasn't really been incorporated into the sig, it's kinda just stuck on top, though I quite like 3, which definitely works the best.

As for the one with 4 versions, 1 is my favourite. The others just seem a little too yellow ;) Maybe desat a little?
 
Actually, in the Shion one I used no sharpening. Just a bunch of filters. I think when I overlayed with a gradient it gave it that, well sharpened look. I like it though.

The two transparent ones are made to be like that.

And as for the 4 versions, 1 does seem to be my favorite at the moment too, as for the last three I tried blending with the proper gradient.
 
Out of all the sigs you posted, the one I like the best is this one:

There's an actual focal point, and the bg isn't as busy. The other three versions are either too bright, or the coloring is off. Only thing I'd say about it is maybe try to blend the stock in better with the bg (only a little though), and lessen the 'sharpened' look on her face.

Oh, like um...lesse, like this, and this is just an example, all I did was take a soft white brush, and brushed right on top of her, then erased most of it around her head, but made sure it looked like it was coming down from the light source you already had, and just that little bit made it look a little more blended yanno?

The Shion sig is okay, but there's waaaay to much negative space going on. If you're going to make a sig like that, it'd be better if it were a tad smaller, and if you centered her.

Lovely Stuff its really nice to use different pics ok:
i see alot of hard work on your sig hte yellow one is the coolest for me and the size suits your render Still you dont have to depend on so much brushes to creat your background,try to use some stocks and c4d, if you mixed that with little brushes and lighting you will end up with stunning result.

Wow that actually looks beyyer :monster: I never thought about doing that. And I'm actually just noticing the sharpened look on her face. I can always smooth it out though.

I actually do that occasionally. I should try it more often because as you said, you really do get neat results.
 
I liked the one you have in your sig now, and I like the two pokemon sigs you made.
