Your First FFVII?

How did you first get into the the FFVII compilation?

was it by playing the original game? Watching AC? DoC? or something else?

for me it was playing the original Game, but i know theres many MANY people who watched AC first...

I hate those people who went to the shops one day, found something with "Final Fantasy" slapped across the top of it and claim to have been avid fans their entire lives, when the rest of us, who somehow managed to comprehend a state of international conflict and global panic, have been talking about it for years.

So, aye, I got into Final Fantasy VII through the game.

i played the game first (ff7)

i loved it from the beginning, i mean the story was amazing and the characters were all so super totally AWESOME!

then i saw the movie and that was great too, and recently i kinda played dirge of cerberus, but i thought it was uber boring...

It was playing the original game for me. I had played through the game at least 5 times before any of the other FF7 stuff came out.

I first got into it by watching my uncle? yeahh. He played FF7 and I played it while he wasn't there. haha. That was so many years ago. I played it myself and was hooked since. w00t.

I got into it through the game as well. It would be pretty friggin confusing for someone who got into it through AC, and even worse for someone who got into it through DoC. And as much as i love Vincent...i'm not even going to touch DoC.

Went to a store for a new game, saw this cover with no real picture on it so I looked to the back and it interested me so i decided to buy it.

That was the time I became an FF-fan.

Definetly the game. I probably would not have watched Advent Children if I had not played the game. Final Fantasy VII was the game that got me into the whole series.

I'd started playing FFIX at the time and was enjoying it enough to want to start playing the rest of the series. I has some inkling about how famous FFVII was (and my brother had seen our cousin play it) so I went and got that next.

So it was the game.

I Also Started with the game way before i had a playstation (years ago) and my friend had a copy of it....beat it with him then got a playstation and have beat it about 6 times since then. Its always good going back to a ff game a few years after you beat it

Best way into Final Fantasy VII is through the game, in fact it was only last year I discovered AC, to be honest...in Vegas.

But yeah, the game is great, AC barely even supplements it, in fact, it's the other way around, with the movie continuing the game, or at least its story.
The game was my first, introduced me to FF, and made me realize that great games do exist in the world

I heard about FF VII then got Advent Children. Then I got the FF VII game. Then got DoC.

Playing the original game of course. I was over the moon when I seen the trailer for AC because it was a treat for people who had previously played the game.

What annyos me is people who havent even played the game, yet theyve seen the movie and believe they know everything about it and the characters.

Got introduced whilst watching a friend play the p.c. version of VII. I thought it didn't look half bad at all, I was worried it was going to be more of a strategy game when I'd first read about it. Still, got ahold of the PS1 version not too much later when it got a Platinum release.

I played the game (FFVII) x3 I remember my dad playing previous FF's, and me being waaay to young to play them. Then he got FFVII, and I thought I'd give it a try finally, and it's what got me hooked to the whole series, and actually got me fully into the RPG genre itself.

FFVII was the first FF game I've ever played and hooked ever since. Then Advent Children (was cool), and finally DoC. I rented DoC ran through it in like a week.. it was alright, reminded me of early Spawn games. I like Vincent so I was in it for the story anyway.

I didn't know that FFVII exists at that time and I saw a you tube music video featuring AC, since I was fascinated by the CG, I watched it and I can't relate with what they're talking about then I discovered it was from a game, and I'm currently playing it.
