My genre of music is most definitely classical rock and 80's rock/pop... but even though that's my thing, there are still songs I listen to that I don't typically admit. I'm a huge Nobuo fan so I don't think that's a big deal. I'll tell people that I listen to him. But there are still other songs that almost no one listens to on a regular basis that I do. I just don't tell anyone. So what are your secret song delights?

1. Some Anime Music (Cowboy Bebop, .Hack//SIGN)
2. The Lovin' Spoonful (Old 60's band... very hippie shit)
3. The Acoustix (Awesome acapella group)

I've also been known to listen to the Fraggle Rock theme song and the David the Gnome song on occassion... although it's more of a rarity.

Heh, I love 80's and 90's rock/pop and well, love songs. They're just my kind of music! Well actually, I love most kinds of genre...except most rap and metal. But yeah, nowadays I hear people listening to songs I am not familiar with. >.<

(Oh and look, Peter Cetera and Cher's "After All" is currently playing on my winamp! ^_^)

I love the band Survivor, Air Supply, MLTR, Jim Brickman, etc...just to name a few. And I listen to anime songs as well. I'm an anime addict, I guess. Oh and Final Fantasy songs too! Hmm, what else? Um...ahh, Chrono Cross' soundtracks! Extremely beautiful right there!

Oh my, I love the chrono cross soundtrack. Time's Scar is especially amazing. That song never gets old, I swear.

I'm pretty open about all my music I listen to. Huge Nobuo fan. And though I don't listen to on a regular basis, I love the Temptations, Stray Cats, all that.

I'm a guy who listens to metal mostly, but one of my all time favorite songs is a mid eighty's pop/new wave tune entitled Take on Me, and its by the band A-Ha. The song also hase a killer music video too.

i used to listen to a lot of the Dave Matthews band as well, still do occasionally

Surprised this hasn't gotten more replies.

Well, I've listened to a crudload of different songs, but only by a select few artists....or do I? :P

1.) Yes, I listen to Take On Me
2.) Westlife....back in the days, all their songs I thought were good, actually.
3.) The Monkees' songs --- but only because no one else has listened to them. :P

80's is my genre too. Ah-Ha were great. What is strange is that from '89 I kinda lost interest. With the exception of bands like Pulp, Oasis and Blur. Then in the late 90's early 00's everything went boyband crazy and the worst music ever dominated the music scene. Personally, I don't think music has been as good as it is now for years. Real bands, real instruments, real lyrics!

Warbourne, take the last train to Clarksville and I'll meet you at the station.

A Llttle later, The Monkees were the first manufactured band (US manufactured to cash in on the Beatles). Luckily they had tallent and churned out some great tracks.

No, I was serious, there are great lyricists out there at the moment, and great bands. Try the Killers, Feeder, the Keiser Chiefs.

+ Gorillaz
+ 2 Pac

And of course, Nirvana. So yeah, a pretty varied list I think you'll agree even if a large majority of artists listed fall under the "Rock" category, I like FF songs and even some classical/opera stuff like "Nessun Dorma"

I guess what I'm trying to say is, if it's music, I'll listen to it

Mines is only Nobuo's piano songs and the Black Mages songs. they all kick ass

Its the fact that there isn't any words to them and you can only here the raw sound of the instruments is what makes it unusual and pleasant to listen to.Yes, before you say... skies above has words to it and there is the sentence "mabey i'm a lion" in Mabey i'm a lion but still they have feeling put into them and they sound "appropriate" and thats what makes them unique and sound great.

Now, if only people who haven't heard these obscure songs would appreciate these songs.
