Are Holocaust deniers just stupid? Or do they have a point when they say 6 million Jews can't have been killed and disposed of in crematoriums as an energy strapped Germany couldn't afford the the costs of using them... among other reasons.

I believe the holocaust happened and it was a tragic event in history. Especially if you know the story of Anne Frank, you realise really the types of people these victims were. Yes they were like you and me...

How could you deny such an event?

And are you a denier? Feel free to debate this despite what I said.

well yeah, i believe that it definitely happened. ive learned about it so much in school that im convinced. plus ive seen the graveyards for all of the people who died. oh and yeah anne frank was a sad book... i hate hitler.

I find it ridiculous and sick that people deny it occured.
People lost their lifes and they claim its a load of bull and never happened! Explain how all those poor people died then you jerks.

Oh boy, I know about the Holocaust pretty well due to my 10th grade jewish teacher. She made us study about the Holocaust for about a month and write a 6 page paper on it.

Oh and not only Anne Frank there is also Elie Wiesel, a holocaust survivor.

It's not just the jews it's also Jehovah's witnesses, homosexuals, anyone who denied Nazi's, disable people, Soviet prisoner, Serbs and more.

Anyways, there is plenty of proof that the Holocaust happened. Uhh pictures and films, the large amount of corpses, documents and more. I think ex-Nazi member deny the Holocaust because they don't want to believe the fact that they were involved to help kill 6 million people. The impact is so unbelievable, that I'm sure they try to do the best that they can to block the whole holocaust out of their mind. Also ex-Nazi citizens as well. It's out of fear that neo-Nazi/Ex-Nazi deny that the holocaust happened. They don't want to be charged with murder as well.

TO deny this is just plain stupidity.

million of innocent people tortured and murdered, to say it never happened is very sick.

Normally, I'd take the side of the devil's advocate here, but that would just be stupid in this case. Aside from the flood of photographic, eye-witness and physical pieces of evidence, you have the fact that millions of Jews were killed in the time the Holocaust took place. They couldn't have just "disappeared", so denying the Holocaust is denying reality.

Just as a random aside, it's pretty terrifying that a man who is the head of a nation has publicly denied the occurrence of the Holocaust. President Ahmadinejad of Iran announced that he thought that the Holocaust was a "myth." That's just....sad and scary.

He's just saying what his supporters want to hear, though. That's the way it works in politics.

The evidence that the holocaust existed is not deniable. Too many people read conspiracy theories without actually studying the evidence themselves. Is it any wonder that some of the people who think it doesn't exist are the same people who think evolution is a myth? Some of them also think there is a jewish conspiracy to rule the world. Clearly there's a bias here.

Well, actually, he isn't really supported in his country. He's fairly unpopular and saying that actually garnered him a lot of criticism within his own country, not to mention abroad. He doesn't have a great deal of popular support and the Ayatollah (his boss and the person who is REALLY in charge of Iran) dislikes him and the negative attention he is bringing to Iran with his outlandish behaviors and statements (such as denying the Holocaust).

Well then he's a bad politician. :)

I guess this is one of the few good times that someone's doing badly for saying what they really think. Normally I'd consider that a bad thing.

I have no idea how some people can even deny this. I mean, as you guys said, there are tons and tons of proof out there, and millions of actual accounts, mostly eyewitnesses, i.e. survivors.
I mean, how can a person, in this case a survivor, tell such a story with such emotion? It seems far-fetched to me that that could be faked.

I believe it's what Vagabond has said, that it's politics in action.
Either it's that and denial, probably guilt of spirit.
Or both.

Its is ridiculous to deny that it happened. I appreciate what Mystrila vbmenu_register("postmenu_161299", true); said, because ppl just want to say it was just Jews. JW, Homosexual, Gypsis, Blacks, Political Prisoners and so many others were persecuted for there race or beliefs as well. My auntie's friend who is german and jewish told me some deep stories about that time. Shes a older lady. But she told me about there shoes and jewlery were taken away. And she became JW in 1939 in a concentration camp. She was offered the chance to leave the camp if she disowned her religion. She refused because she believed so strongly in her faith. I'm not the crying sort but i was bawling most of the story. The conviction in her eyes showed me it happened and it affected many ppl.
