It's a tough one, Zell had the cooler moves but he's so annoying I want to vote for Tifa out of spite. I'll give it to Zell out of fairness.

I'll have to go with Tifa here as well. For a girl, she can kick some ass. I'm sure she proved it on Advent Children.
Now when it comes to Chicken Wuss, erm, I mean Zell...he's merely okay. He's got some cool moves, yes...but he doesn't seem to be as fast as Tifa, and we all know that speed is important too.
Now, close your eyes for a second and imagine those two battling each other. Who do you honestly think would win?

I'm going with Tifa as well. I'd like to say both, but we all know that Tifa would kick sh*t out of Zell.

I hate both games, but meh. Anyways, Zell, from what I can see, actually can be superior and is truly hand to hand. You all say Tifa because she kicks ass in "Final Fantasy Advent Children", but what if there was an FFVIII movie? Yea, Zell would be far superior.

Zell is much more powerfull than Tifa because he´s Duel technique can do more than 200.000 damage on one round while Tifa cannot therefore Tifa would probably lose in a fight!
But vote in my Universal Tournament and maybe a match between Zell and Tifa might become a reality!

It'd be hell for me to decide between them, so I voted for both.
Tifa - she's faster, stronger, and more annoying than Zell.
so she'd be able to pwn him - we've all seen how great a martial artist she is in AC - shes able to keep up with a superhuman being - Loz - so a non-superhuman - Zell - she'd be able to beat easily as shes clearly one of the stronger normal-humans

I'm not sure I can decide a 100% who's better cause
1.) Tifa kicks butt in AC
2.) Zell kicks butt in VIII
3.) I thought they both had sweet moves.

Youn cant be serious about your decision! Zell would beat the hell out of her bar none. If you can be impressed over a movie and not the original creation, your definately not a Final Fantasy player. Look at stats buddy...theres proof right there.

Sure she had lots of different limit breaks, bring Zell into the picture and she easily becomes over-rated, and old news. Zell can crush anything that i want him to, and the sad thing is he only needs one limit break to make a statement, and Tifa needs 4 or so.

Zell, IMO. I used him more than I did for Tifa in FFVII, but I just think his strength outweighs his smarts and he can make up for his lack of intelligence by being a kick-ass fighter.
Zell. Tifa is too small and scrawny. Zell looks a hell of a lot stronger.

No matter what is said about Zell's speed or strength, I doubt he could keep up. Tifa would be way to fast, especially after seeing her in Advent Children.
If I where to picture them in battle with each other, It would be like watching the very end of the Matrix when Neo realizes that he is the ONE and no matter what Agent Smith (Zell) threw at her, he just wouldn't be fast enough.
Bottom line, Tifa would kick Zell so fast and hard it would leave his facial tattoo behind.
