do I just get them by opening chests or winning important battles ?
Or there is a way to get them by killing in some place or some monsters?

I think you can steal them from certain enemies, like bosses or really hard enemies. Other then that, chests are your best bet.

k thx ^^

I'm wonderin this cause there a too many spheres in the grid to unlock, and I dun think that every chests containing them will be enough.

If your talking about the International version, Im not sure my post can help, because I'm not familiar with that version of that game; as it contains two sphere grids, I've been told.

nope, the only difference as I know it that in the PAL version you can choose which grid you'll use for every character, instead of the international version where every character starts in a specific location, so every grid is blocked between them by special sphere that the only way to unlock them is using lv1,2,3,4 sphere that you can found in some chests or special battles ( or the teleport, and friend spheres too )

So in the PAL version You can have Tidus be a White Mage at the beginning?

dun remember if this option ( because there is the other option that allows you to begin in the common grid of each character ) allows you to begin in the grid that you like, or everybody starts in the same point, I don`t know.

I ask again: in the international version, is there another way instead of chests or special battles , to gain those "special" spheres ?

The HP, MP, Strength etc. Spheres are usually obtained through defeating bosses or other strong enemies, or by finding them in chests. They're also occassionaly handed out as prizes in Blitzball leagues/ tournaments. The Key Spheres are slightly easier to get, as they can be stolen from some enemies or they're dropped after battles

And as for the difference in the PAL and International versions, PAL has the Dark Aeons where the Int. version does not. I think that's the only difference. Every character must use the same Sphere Grid that you choose at the start, but they all start in different areas

oh gosh ._. , I wanted to see those dark aeons in the internatioanl version y_y

After you get the Airship, go back to all the Temples and complete the Cloister of Trials again and go into the room where the Fayths are kept and after short cutscenes you will often gain a "Special Sphere" or chests will appear in the Chambers...hope this helps

In the International Version there ARE Dark Aeons. Only in the North American Version not.

For the spheres go to the Monster Arena and fight against Kottos (catch at least one of every monster from Mi'hen Highroad; old AND new Highroad: Raldo, Floating Eye, Mi'ihen Fang, White Element, Bomb, Dual Horn, Vouivre and Ipiria). He has 440'000 HP. Throw an Ability-, Magic-, Power- or a Speed-Distiller on it. If you make an overkill, he will drop 40 of the spheres you wish.

The following monsters drop HP Spheres etc.

Fenrir; Agility Sphere
Pterys; Evasion Sphere
Hornet; Accuracy Sphere
Vidatu; MP Sphere
One-Eye; Magic Defense Sphere
Jumbo Flan; Magic Sphere
Tanket; Defense Sphere
Juggernaut; Strength Sphere
Ironclad; HP Sphere
Greater Sphere; Luck Sphere

Fortune Spheres you get from the Earth Eater.
