Is this perhaps a localisation thing?

I've just looked that up and side/reo might be how the items are rendered in the Italian language version of Final Fantasy IX. If that's true, that's interesting (probably related to its association with stars?).

In the English version the items are called Pumice Pieces, so that might give a completely different meaning, but it should be the same item if I am right.

In short, I don't think you need to worry yet. No matter what it is called, it seems to be the correct item.
Oh ! That's really curious !
so the next pieces of Pumice will be called Side/Reo, right?
- Chocograph 22
- Ozma
it has to be like this.

Yes, it seems the language barrier has caused a bit of confusion for us :lew: Here's what I found when googling Side/Reo and using DeepL to translate:

Il Sidereo ci è indispensabile per poter apprendere l'invocazione Arka: per far sì che Hades possa saldarlo dovremo essere in possesso di due pezzi di Side/reo. Otterremo una unità di Side/reo al termine della battaglia contro lo stesso Arka ad Oeilvert (CD 3); un altro Side/reo risolvendo la Chocografia "Isola Esterna 2", a Nord del Deserto del Continente Esterno; infine, un terzo frammento potrà essere rubato ad Ozma.

I hope that's correct! It does seem like you're on the right track! :P

Yeah, definitely a localisation difference then!

The item is called Side/Reo in Italian, but Pumice Piece in English.

To get the item you want in order to get Boost, you'll just need the one you now have. But if you wanted the eidolon Ark to summon as well then you'll need two additional Side/Reos in order to craft the item you need when you encounter Hades.

Fortunately, you can get three Side/Reos. Unfortunately, it may mean having to face Ozma after all.

EDIT:
Actually you might need four Side/Reos eventually, if you want to master it fully. I forgot that Dagger and Eiko work separately, so you'd need Boost for both of them in order to have the full summon animations for all of them. Until then you'll have to settle for one or the other.

I'm sorry that the game does not make this easy. :sad2:
