thought id make a thread for my second favourite series (ff beein first :) ) just a thread where we can talk about the great games and the horrible games from the series. personally my favourite would have to be mortal kombat deception cause i love the fatalties (espicially sub-zero's ripping off the head and throwing at ur body fatality :) ) also the cheapness in mortal kombat 2... wats with the low kickin :P
 
Eh. The only Mortal Kombat I played was the one for Super Nintendo. >.< It was so old. But I watched some of my friends play Mortal Kombat Annihilation. It was okay, I guess.
 
I have MK3 and I get beaten so quickly.

I got quite far on MK2 on hard mode I think.....bloody hell took me about 2 hours to get to level 4
 
Ive never played the Mortal Kombat series. It was never my cup of tea, I prefered Tekken and DoA to it.

All I can remember is "FINISH HER!" being blarred at me when Id walk past people in arcades. Though I know who Sub Zero and Johnny such and such are rofl!
 
I was like 11 when i used to play it on arcade but i was not very skilled with it. I got the last two for the ps2, create a fighter is a nice addition, but create a fatality... meh, i prefer the classic way.
 
I reckon I stopped following the series after the PS1 era. I enjoyed MK3, MK: Ultimate and Trilogy whilst I had them but I was always more of a Street Fighter man myself, and Tekken and Soul Blade arriving didn't help MK very much either. Still, I picked up Deadly Alliance just to see what it was all about, it's decent but there's games I'd much rather be playing than that....and Fatalities still aren't included in the movelist...:dry:
 
I like the MK series probaly my 2nd Favourite (Tekken just cant be beaten in my eye) i have the MK trilogy game on PS1 which is great to play though poorly presented that meaning loadign tiems and taky menus. but its fantastic to play on. and i also bought the more Recent MK Armageddon and im quite impressed i love the new Create a Fighter mode its so detailed and fun to make. also the online modes are fun and i like the air kombat.still i preffer the 2d days.pure classic
 
Mortal Kombat was one of my favorite games to play when I was younger, I just never could execute any fancy move. >_<
 
Haha, I never knew there was a one button fatality cheat. All I did when I played that game was button mash. It never really worked for me. XD
 
I own one of them - Deadly alliance.

it was ok i suppose but tekken was better. although i did like using Kitana to throw Fans into peoples faces XD
 
The only MK games that I ever played were the first 3 that were on the SNES. Never played another one after that.
 
The older Mortal Kombat games are great. The Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 had be entranced for a good bit.

Today's Mortal Kombat games do very little to catch my attention.
 
One of the kids that used to come to my moms daycare was amazing at mortal kombat. He knew these special codes so you could play as shau khan, and the minotaro dude. And Smoke. It was cool.
