The people who know about this classic anime, about the boy Kamui and the seven seals and seven angels.

I still think that this is one of the best anime's ever the anime was heaps better then the movie and changed the story heaps compared to each other.

seen the first 12 episodes..... it's ok, different from other clamp work.... this is the only drak anime that they have done which doesnt follow the pattern love conkers all which is one of their main story plots.... The only thing that annoys me is that i can't seem to get use to the character design.....

Our anime club is watching X next semester, and I'm really excited about it. I've only read the first three volumes of X/1999, but it hooked me right away. I'm just wondering how they finished the anime (and the movie), because I heard X/1999 the manga is on its 18th volume or so and unfinished.

On a side note, one of my classmates from a couple of years ago had posters of the Seven Angels and Seven Seals in her room. So cool.

One of my favourite series. Anyhow...

The manga is still going. As to the movie, the best comparision I could give you is this: Escaflowne the Movie. For those who have watched it, it was basically 26 episodes compressed into an hour. Bad thing? Yes. You didn't know what exactly was going on, and didn't get too know the characters much except for maybe Von and Hitomi.

X the movie, you meet a lot of the main characters, yet you don't know why they do the things they do much less, any background story to their lifes. You just know they are mortal enemies of each other. When some of them begin to die, instead of feeling sad for them.. you don't feel anything.

As for the ending, it's one of the saddest (and fucked up) I've seen. But for some reason, it suited it. The ending song, Forever Love by X Japan suits the ending nicely. In other words, watch the movie and build your own opinion on the movie.

As for the series, definitely watch them. The series ends on a satisfactory note. It feels complete.

I would have written more, but if I did I would have given out too many spoilers, haha

I've only seen the movie for X and it was like.. 'wtf' the whole way through. o_o I imagine it'd be more enjoyable if I had seen the series?

I also own the first manga and never cared much for it either, so my experience with X hasn't been good...

Well that is true though the ending for X the movie and the anime series is completly different, i won't go into details though they are the opposite of one another

As for the manga it stopped production because they couldn't get the bugget, so they only just started or are going to finish the manga series.

and yes it movie is like Escaflowne, the anime is the better version for X and Escaflowne while we are on the subject

Ah. I love Escaflowne and refuse to see the movie. I find most anime movies aren't very good anyway. (ps: I love your avatar.)
