alot of people tell me that the second ff x sucks. like they change yuna personalitly and they make the girls wear sluty clothes. plus is there really no tidus till the end? =[

I think FF X-2 is definitly worth getting. tho they work with a different system then FF X. they now work with garment grids, sort of job system. Wich i think is really cool.
The characters being sluty? nah the just got nicer outfits. and Yuna's personality has changed tho she still shows her old self at some occasions. Well if you wanna know about Tidus just play the game its definitly worth getting, espacially when you played FF X.

If you liked the ending of FFX, then FFX-2 will bother the hell out of you. I wouldn't get it particularly for the story, but the gameplay itself is quite nice. It borrows a bit from the job systems you see in FFIII, FFV, and FFTactics, and lets you change jobs a certain amount of times during battle.

Whether or not there is Tidus at the end is for you to find out. ;D

The old Yuna was a firm believer in the teachings of Yevon and constantly living with the knowledge that her pilgrimage would probably cause the end of life. The Yuna in Final Fantasy X-2 lives in a world that's overall much more optimistic, so of course her personality has changed a bit. I know that a lot of people see this as a bad thing, but it really would have been much weirder if she'd kept acting like she did in Final Fantasy X :)

To answer your question though, FF X-2 is definitely worth getting. The game starts out with a bit of a Charlie's Angels thing going on, and for the first couple of hours, it really doesn't feel like a Final Fantasy game. Once you get past that hurdle and the story really starts to unfold, it's great though. A bit cheesy at some points maybe, but still great.

Gameplay-wise Final Fantasy X-2 is one of the best in the series. FFX was a rather linear experience, but with FF X-2 Square went down a route you seldomly see in Japanese RPGs anymore and made it pretty freeform. At most given points YOU decide where to go next on the map. You also get to make decisions that directly impact the storyline and world of Spira, making Final Fantasy X-2 the closest the series has come to an actual roleplaying game since Final Fantasy VI.

As far as Tidus goes, FF X-2 has multiple different endings that depend on how much of the game you have completed. If you want to make sure that you get a specific ending, you might want a walkthrough :P

FFX-2 is a very mixed bag.

A lot of it is extremely silly, and there's a big chunk of the game where I tend to scream, "Auron sacrificed himself so Spirans could be IDIOTIC TWITS?!"

The game designers seem to be convinced that the best way to make a game for female gamers is to have lots of giggling, jiggling, and Barbie dress-up. Which makes this female gamer want to take a masamune to them.

Nonetheless, if you don't take it too seriously, and if you can stand the epic, tragic, grand mythic world of FFX being left behind for a much more "trendy and fun" sort of style, it's worth getting.

I recommend one play-through for fun, one play-through with a walkthrough in hand, because there is a TON of missible stuff, including a lot of backstory with some of the better "new" characters in the game.

If you admired the cast of Final Fantasy X and it's story, FFX-2 will bother you.

But really, for the money its running right now... (like what... 5 USD?) I'd say it's definitely worth every penny. It's not my favorite game (in fact, I've never beaten it...) but if you have a bigger appreciation for gameplay than bastardization and fan service, I'm sure that you won't think it's such a bad release.
