Anyone else as excited about the new expansion as I am? :) I've been playing WoW since about a year before The Burning Crusade came out, and I was eagerly anticipating both that and Wrath of the Lich King. This however makes me much more excited than either of the previous expansions did!

The only complaint I have about Wrath of the Lich King was that it left Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdom a rather barren and empty place. When Burning Crusade came out, and both factions got a new race, it was a great opportunity to not only explore Outland, but also revisit some of the early level content with a new character. With Wrath of the Lich King, the new exciting thing was the Death Knight, which started out at level 55, so most players seemed content to focus on the content of Outland and beyond.

However with 2 new races, several new race/class combos, and reworked level 10 - 60 zones, I bet that Azeroth will the buzzing with activity again!
I'd heard the rumours of Worgen and Goblins as playable races before, but never thought either to be likely so I am very interested in seeing how Blizzard will work them into the lore of each faction. Oh and I absolutely love the Deathwing artwork on the page. 50% dragon, 50% balrog, 150% badarse. :P
 
it is quite interesting I hope they fix rogues and make them the highest dps like they used to be (and should be considering the constraints on the class >.>) my account was hacked shortly after the sunwell was released didn't have the heart to reraise my character which had been around since moonrunner server launch. been playing private servers ever since. (not that there are any really good ones around) i will probally buy the expansion so I can keep playing. and it is interesting about death wing, I had been expecting it. of course simply killing off an entire portion of the elemental wing of dragons can't be done (lore standpoints)
 
Looks much better than the last two. It was so annoying, instead of expanding the old game, they just added tele-porters to another area. Leaving all the main land deserted of anything new. Yeah, that's why I'm happy about this one. Adding to the old.

The 85 level cap is crap though. Looks like they are going to pull that now so we'll have to spend more money to get to 100.

I don't think that expanding the level cap any further than 85 is really necessary this time around. A lot of work is being put into remaking the old zones, so a lot of people will be levelling new characters rather than just madly dashing towards the new level cap.

Blizzard did also say that the time it will take to level from level 80 to 85, will be comparable to the time it took to level from 70 to 80 :)
 
I watched the trailer, To be honest, it just looks the same as the previous expansions. Im not interested in WoW anymore.
But for people that DO play it, it looks like it could be rather interesting and enjoyable. the Worgal look like a pretty awesome race. It also mentioned Class Combinations, Which could be quite an interesting Factor to add to WoW Bestiary.
But for me, its a no.

True, but I don't care how long it takes. I care about how much money its going to cost to get to 100!

First it would have been 2 expansions (10 per expansion) away and now it will be double?! How much are they going to charge for it, anyway?! =O

What's this fascination with a level cap of 100? :P As far as future expansions go, I think it's important to remember that nothing is set in stone. Just because Cataclysm only raises the level cap by 5, it doesn't mean that the next expansion will do the same.

But seriously. If they did it once, they could do it again and probably will. I just think of it as more of a way to milk the game... instead of working on... I dunno... WORLD OF WARCRAFT II?

But seriously, it does look good. Way better than the other 2 expansions tbh.
 
I saw the game, and I was pretty excited for it then. But I'm not sure if I'm going to go back to Warcraft in the state my realm is. My guild is all but gone, and most of my friends have changed to Alliance mostly. I just can't see myself spending extra cash just for that. A few of my friends that had quit are asking me if I want to go back, but I don't see myself doing that for another year at the very least. I'd like to try other MMO's such as The Old republic first before even considering returning. Although, I really do like the storyline, and more importantly, some of the Goblin's racial traits sound quite good.
