Ok, so I finally did it. I just, moments ago beat finally Fantasy X, which also means I've beaten my first Final Fantasy game ever.

Full Review

Graphics: The graphics in this game are superb, especially the FMVs, although they aren't as good in battle mode, but thay are still remarkable.

Sound: The music in this game is really good. Some pieces stand out more than others. The one that stood out the most was the theme that played when you rescued Yuna from that dreadful wedding. The battle theme is good, but it isn't the best. That honor belongs to FF VII's battle theme.
The voice acting, for the most part, was very well done. My favorite was Auron, followed by Tidus. I know most people hate James Arnold Taylor's voicing of Tidus, but I thought he did a good job overall. He was especially good in the parts when he was narrating, such as the beggining line: "Listen to my story". The only voice acting I didn't find so good was Rikku's. Way too pitchy. The rest of the cast did a fairly good job of portraying the emotions of their characters.

Gameplay: FFX's gameplay is at its best in boss battles. Those are a blast to play. Exploring is also fun. Random battles sometimes could be very annoying if the only thing you were trying to do was to get to the other side of the terrain. The sidequests, except for a few, were quite fun, especially monster hunting.

Characters: In all of the games I've played there's always a character I don't like. This wasn't the case with FFX. All of the characters (for me at least) had very likable and distinctive, well-defined personalities.

Story: This is the point that matters to me the most. If a game doesn't have a good story, it just won't be interesting enough for me to play it. FFX, however, excels in this point. Even though its confusing at first, later in the game it unfolds very nicely. The story is rich in themes (like religion and fundamentalism) and it is memorable and engrossing. It even includes a love story, even though I've heard it being described as awful and vomit inducing. For me it was nothing of the sort, I found it very sweet. The ending was very emotional.

Overall: This game is one of the enjoyable gaming experiences I've had ina long time and it's very rewarding. It gets a 9.2 from me.

Congradulations! FFX is one of the best I think, great story and characters. Great everything really, now you should try and beat FFVII. Or if you like a big love story Id go with VIII. Great love story in that game.

Firstly, congratulations on beating the game ^_^

Now...I must argue with one point in your "Review"

Yeah, he didn't do a terrible job BUT (and this is a big but :P) you can't say to me that you've ever heard a more dreadful piece of "proffessional" voice-acting than the laughing scene at Luca...my ears bled and I still wince to this day at the thought of it...how I wish you could skip scenes in this game :worried:

LOL, I guess you're right. That scene was pretty jarring.

Yes, the scene was pretty jarring, especially since I thought the voice acting was pretty lame at that part.

At some points of the game, the voice acting did go awry somewhat but it didn't matter me much.

Oh, and congratulations on beating your first every FF.
Good job.

I kinda liked the FFs better without voicing, because you get more of an imagination, just like how some people say they like books better than movies, I like the words better than the voices, although FFX's voicing was very well done I think, Id rather play it where its my world and all the characters sound like I want them to think, it makes it better I think.

Well done for compleating the game! I agree that it is rewarding although i have not finished it yet, but it is rewarding when you do something and you watch the FMV's e.g the wedding and the scene in the spring.
Again, congrats, I hope you enjoyed playing it!
