Why do you think the characters in FF games, have such big weapons?

I guess that last post has some truth in it. With Fantasy games you can go beyond the world of believable and make what you want because it's not real life. Sure you don't want to be so far-fetched that it's rediculous, but Cloud can handle the Buster Sword that's bigger than the Washington Monument in a Final Fantasy game.

Also, it makes for better eye-candy as it's upclose and personal instead of it looking like the character is holding a Pez Dispenser.

LOL! :D

I'm sorry for being really immature right here. I just thought about what some of us have been saying and putting that quote in that context just made it very funny.

But in all seriousness, yeah, that is probably why they do it.

Why do you (preferably humorously) reckon the characters in the
FF games have such big sized weapons ?
Compensation for other things that they have that are not quite as big! I will say no more, as there are children on the site... However... The fact that Tifa just has boxing gloves can be used to back up my theory, as she had nothing to compensate for! ;P

LOL then again how true... how true...
CloseQuarters, please try to put something more into your posts than a simple agreement like that. Expand upon it with something that helps contribute to the topic instead of a spammy post that brings nothing to the table.

It seems more believable to pack more strength boosts into a larger weapon. I think a smaller, lighter weapon that could be easily combo linked would be better, but oh well... not as heroic I guess.

they wanted to show how strong a character can be in Final fantasys

and/or they wanted to show the difference between real life and fantasy
