Would you lovely people of FFF say is the best? My brother is getting a 360 for his birthday on Thursday, so obviously I'm going to exploit that since he'll be 9, and as all young children do, they play outside leaving their consoles available to play :awesome:

Anyways, I'm going shopping tomorrow, or possibly play.com depending on prices and I was wondering which of these would be the better buy, I want an RPG btw, and since I don't personally own a 360 of my own I tend not to bother reading the reviews if they're exclusive games, so...

- Fable II
- Lost Odyssey
- Last Remnant
- Infinite Undiscovery
- Star Ocean 4 *coughadricough*
- Eternal Sonata

I'm pretty dead set on getting Fable II as I loved the first Fable, but out of the others I can't really decide, the Last Remnant and Infinite Undiscovery look good but they seem to have meh reviews so I'm unsure about those =/

+rep to anyone who can help >_>

I havn't played half of the games on that list, but Fable 2 was pretty solid, as was Star Ocean for me...

As for the others, I use GameTrailer reviews for all my game decisions, they're usually right on the button for me. Just be sure to watch the whole video, for the whole review. As they break it down in parts.

I've watch all the reviews, however, I'd still advise Star Ocean. Maybe that's because I'm simply a fan to the series, though. :yay: So be wary of my advice.

Lost Odyssey: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/review-lost-odyssey/30354

Eternal Sonata: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/review-eternal-sonata/24973

Fable II is great and alongside Mass Effect it is probably my favourite RPG released for this generation of consoles. If you want another suggestion, then get Tales of Vesperia. It totally blows every other JRPG that has been released in this generation out of the water.

I'd stay away from Lost Odyssey if I were you though. The fact that Sakaguchi came up with the original concept and that Uematsu wrote the score might make it sound appealing, but it really doesn't come anywhere near the quality of the games Sakaguchi directed and produced when he was still working for Square. The graphics are rather average for a game with a locked camera angle, the designs are bland at best, and while the premise of the storyline is alright, it is let down by the poor dialogue and poor implementation.

Well, personally, Fable two was pretty good, but i thought that one was better. Iono. Maybe it was the lack of armour thing ( i really wanted to be a gun toting knight). As for the others, id say maybe Last remanent or Star Ocean. As with what Kenneth said, Vesperia is pretty good too.

Thanks for the links, I haven't seen those ones before :gasp:, and I've heard good things all round about Star Ocean 4 so I'm sure your advice is probably spot on, even if you're a fan of the series :yay:

Yeah, I always got a good feeling about Fable II even though I didn't really fallow the updates when it was being made, probably because Fable was a fantastic game. I'd go for Tales of Verperia, but anything that's eventually going to be Multiplatform I'll buy for the PS3, so I've already got plans for that. I've heard good things about Mass Effect as well, is it anything like Fallout 3? :ness:

Yeah, I was like "ummm" with that one, it looks good but it's another game that has mixed reviews, though I may get it for the fact it's under £10 in Grangergames :yay:

I might have a look at the Last Remnant along with Mass Effect, I'm not really short of money I just don't want to be wasting it on games that aren't worth it :ness:

Thanks gaiz, the help was much appreciated :awesome:

Ryan you should get Star Ocean TLH for your brother! Its so awesome. Just try not to get any "naughty scenes" XD. Also Lost Odyssey is pretty awesome too. Fable II is fun too! The Last Remnant and Fable are really bloody
though! Star Ocean TLH for The Win!

Yes, they are for my "brother" :awesome:
I ended up buying Last Remnant and Fable II, I couldn't see any of the others, Star Ocean was probably on the chart shelf but I'll just wait for it to drop in price :ahmed:

Mass Effect is nothing like Fallout 3. Being developed by Bioware, it's more comparable to Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire.

Of the games you've listed, Fable 2 is likely the best. If you do go with Fable 2, I'd recommend spending some more money on the downloadable content. It greatly improves the game. More items for customizing your character, more locations, and more quests. I played through Fable 2 without the dlc, and enjoyed it. Later, I played through Fable 2 WITH the dlc, and enjoyed the game twice as much.

Tales of Vesperia, Fallout 3, and Oblivion are the best, but they aren't exclusive to the Xbox 360.

Well I did watch someone play Fallout 3 and it looked pretty kick ass from what I seen of it. Fable II though seems really awesome but I never had the chance to play it, though basing off of the first Fable, that would be my first choice. I did like Elder Scrolls Oblivion, though that's not on the list, I would make a suggestion of checking that out also.

Fallout 3 and Oblivion are brilliant I'd buy then but I already have both of them for the PS3 and I had Oblivion for my 360 before I sold it originally, so if anyone else was looking for suggestions, Fallout 3 and Oblivion would be an epic choice. :ryan:

Bah, the only one of those that i've played is infinite undiscovery, which is totally badass.... i'm not really sure about all the others you listed, i haven't heard much about most of em.... but yeah seeing as that's the only one i've played i recommend it... Like the only 2 disc game on the 360 i believe... and both discs are completely :awesome:
