Just finished my 5th or 6th playthrough of IX :)

I have finished all of them at least twice (except XIII)

Right now i have to choose between IV, V, VI, VIII, XII and XIII.

Also funny names for my character if i can name them.

Go for VI. I played it last month for the first time and now want to replay it already.

Not much of a list. I'd said VI too considering it was the best Final Fantasy game until the release of VII. Oh that and the fact it's two players so if you have a friend you can both play. I think. Is it just the original SNES version that's two player?

Whats wrong with my list :P

That's just what i have availiable to me at the moment.

It just feels empty to me. I'm bias though since the main three games I like from that list are VI, VIII and IX, but you already played IX so that just left VI and VIII. V comes in at second, didn't care much for XII and XIII. Though I'd probably play XIII again just for Lighting and I have never played IV so can't comment much on that game.

The only reason i left out VII and X is because my VII is scratched (finished it 3 times anyways) and I can't find X :(

I really disliked XIII, but you have me pretty keen on VI :)

I was going to say VI too, but then realized everyone else did a pretty good job of that.

I also liked IV, it's fun to play as characters like Cecil and Kain and you get to focus a lot on battles when not having to explore. But I liked VI better.

^IV definitely has some of the best characters in FF universe for me. But I felt as though the story was a bit too basic compared to latter FF games (though I understand that it was the first FF game or in fact an RPG to have a complex plot).

Play any of them, just not V. there's one down :mokken:

I'm going with the majority (I say that, meaning basically, the only 2 posts I read) and suggesting playing VI :mokken:

I need to replay that myself soon, it's been aaaaages

What's RIGHT with it?!

I fucking hate it. The job system SUCKS. It was hard and annoying and I just wanted to throw it out the window

I absolutely hated it. Though at least I managed to finish, unlike with FFII where I cant even bring myself to go any further than the first town

V was a bit tedious at the start and the characters seemed very static. However eventually it picks up and the characters develop well. One of the things that kind of annoyed me is that you have to do a lot of experience grinding in the early parts of the game because the game scales rather fast, and some bosses like Biblos or Liquid Flame are very hard if you're underlevelled. I usually prefer to leave experience grinding till the later and so that's what annoyed me in FFV. Other than that it was a good game.

As you told me in another thread to go and play FF IX which I currently am, I would tell you to do the same but seeing that you played it so many times I'll rule that out.

I know this wasn't an option but if you have a chance to get your hands on FF Tactics you should, you could also play it on an emulator too. :)
