There's one thing I dislike doing: Playing 10,000 games at one time and eventually turfing one. So, to avoid that, I only allow myself to be working my way through up to 3 games at one time. Right now, I have Mass Effect 2, Silent Hill and Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness going. It says right below in my signature. I'll probably complete Mass Effect 2 sometime really soon, and I'd like to list a few games that I really want to beat, but haven't gotten the chance to. These are all games I've attempted before, but failed. So once I'm done Mass Effect 2, which game should I play?

Here's my list of possibilities:

Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy XII
Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht
Kingdom Hearts

EDIT: Also, if you're stumped as well, I'll let you in on my personal tastes. I'd prefer the shortest game out of them all, and I'll most likely use an FAQ for any RPG game, which one is the easiest to complete? And also, which one has the most worthwhile storyline?

EDIT: I also love cutscenes <3 But I can live without 'em.

I would say Xenosaga Episode 1 if you like a good story. If you're in the mood for a lot of action I wouldn't though because it's an awful lot of watching long cutscenes.

Final Fantasy X is better than XII unless you like real time battling. So if you're in the mood for typical turn based RPG with a good story X, if you want a political story with real time batttling XII.

Kingdom Hearts isn't a game that I liked all that much so I can't offer advice about it.

I do love my cutscenes... :hmmm:It's just the last time I played Xenosaga it became a little frustrating and the battles seemed repetitive.

Out of all of those, FFXII is easily the best one you could pick, in my opinion. It has the most interesting storyline, Balthier, a delightful real-time battle system that is infinitely more engaging than your standard turn-based affair (not to mention setting up Gambits just right eliminates AI incompetence) and the dialogue is awesome.

However, if you're after speedy completion, I'd say FFX or Xenosaga.

i would play either of the ff games....ffXI is good but theres liscenses in the game that u need to get in order to equip weapons, armor, use magic, etc. it gets really annoying after a while but oher than that, its a good game

I would recommend leaving FF12 as your last game, seeing as how you're gonna spend hours and HOURS playing it. I would also leave FFX last, but before FF12. The other two games? Play them in the order you want.

Xenosaga Episode 1 does have a really repetitive battle system, but 2 is worse. It was way too complicated.

I agree with the person that said you could just skip to 3 if you had it, and play the other two later. 3 is the best storywise and it has summaries of all the other ones on it that are pretty detailed.

Xenosaga is more Sci-Fi then the Final Fantasy so if you're in the sci-fi mood you should play it.

Well I am just coming from Mass Effect 2, which is like the ultimate Sci-Fi game... I'm not sure if I should take a break from the genre, or jump into it even further? If I was going to play a sci-fi game, I'd go straight to Xenosaga or maybe maybe not Final Fantasy X. Perhaps we can make a list of these games which ones I should play first and which ones I should play last?

EDIT: I should mention I was charged a ridiculous price of $45.95 for Xenosaga Episode 1 in used condition, totally unaware of the game's actual value... This was two years ago when I bought it. Maybe I should get my money's worth out of it at some point xD

Very similar lists, and I should mention that Final Fantasy XII and Kingdom Hearts are probably on my 'least desire to play' side of my tastes. Kingdom Hearst frustrated the crap out of me and Final Fantasy XII was just unappealing. But I'll force myself to play them, if I want to.

I agree with Masked Man about FFXII and FFX. FFX lasts easily more than 100h (that's what I've heard).

A 100 hours? That's only if you feel the need to do everything. And even then...I'm not sure about that.

It didn't take me a 100 hours I don't think. I'll have to check my save game and see for sure now. :D

I concur, it should take a bit less than 100 hours. But saying that FF12 lasts triple than that isn't exaggerating, no sir.

WHAAAAAAT? Okay, those two are definitely going at the bottom of the list. But how long is Xenosaga with and without the cutscenes? And Kingdom Hearts?

Xenosaga can hit around 80 hours total, based on what I've heard and my own personal clear time. Be warned, though, about 20-30 hours of that is cutscenes (usually in game graphics, but some excellent cg ones as well). After the first real boss battle, prepare to slog through 45 minutes of cutscene action (mercifully, it stops roughly every 15 minutes and lets you save your game). Secondary warning - amazing series, and fascinating storyline, but it was meant to run 6 games (the fifth installment is Xenogears, so we would have likely seen than re-imagined), so it never fully develops as intended (who even knows what was originally intended at this point).

Kingdom Hearts can be a little slow getting started, but once the ball gets rolling it is genuinely a lot of fun. As per Mass Effect, it has RPG elements, but the action is far more engaging than simple menu navigation, which is always nice. This series also comes with a warning - after the first game, the simple, straightforward plot goes all over the place and crazy things that never came up before (or were even hinted at - bad design/storytelling, in my opinion) start popping up all over. Hope you own a lot of systems if you want to explore this entire series.

All in all, I'd say decide based on what you want to do. Menu combat = Xeno, running, dodging, attacking combat = KH. Both are a lot of fun, so if you don't know what you're more in the mood for, just flip a coin.

I say Kingdom hearts. I am Bias coz I love it but its got great in game graphics, you could probably finish it in 20 hours easy, lovely story if you can understand it and great characters!

I would recommend Kingdom Hearts also. Fairly light-hearted storyline (compared to the others anyway) Nice visuals, although the spacecraft flying to the next planet is somewhat confusing, it only lasts for a couple of minutes or so. Pinksquid is right on the completion time, took me just over 25 hours to complete and thats with getting to level 99 etc.

The other games...Im currently playing through FFX again and Im immersing myself fully into the game and dont intend to rush, purely cos this is one of my fav FF games and also cos I dont believe RPG games should be "rushed"

My list?

1 - Kingdom Hearts
2 - FFX
3 - FFXII
4 - Xenosaga (just cos of all them long ass cut scenes! o_O)
