You receive a mail from Shinra news.
It says that Zack Fair,Sephiroth and 2 infantrymen were killed in action.If you are dead why to sent you a mail?
 
They send a mail to actually know if Zack is dead or not but it turns out that he was not so they killed him at the end. Zack just wanted to go see Aerith one last time but he gets killed really sadly.
 
My best guess is that he was still on the Shinra mailing list, and they didn't think to remove him. Either that, or it was just something overlooked by the creators.

What I don't understand is why Zack never responds to any of the mail he gets. Kunsel texts him not long after he escapes, so why doesn't Zack message him back for help? That would've been the smart thing to do :stare:
 
I think it's also a mailing list, like when I'd send emails at work, I'd select Denton internal, which meant everyone within out office would recieve the email - regardless of if they had left or whatever, until they were removed from the system.

But I also wanna know why he didn't reply to his emails either, ignorant git -__-
 
Mass mailing list... just type up a message and then send to all in Shinra without really looking at who's on the list.

It also makes since on how Yuffie got that information and sent Zack some email too. which prompted a mission. Then after that, following missions description said flat out that they know about it and want him to go investigate further.

He kept asking himself how in the hell did Yuffie get his email in which she flat out replies (at the end of the missions) that she just sent out one message to every and Zack was the only one who answered (i.e. accepting the mission) then she concentrated on him... she made a spot in his Spam folder ^^;

Yeah I have to Agree why Zack does not reply to his mails from shinra? If Zack would have did that he would still be alive awww Zack was just so cool!!! His eyes were so cool.
 
Why would Zack send an email to the very organisation that had locked him up for 4 years and caused all the problems between Genesis, Angeal, and Sephiroth in the first place?

He couldn't trust anyone involved with Shinra or Soldier. At that point he already knew enough to hate everything they stood for.

Anyways, yeah, I'm in agreement. Zack should get off his SOLDIER 1st Class High horse and answer some emails. Like...maybe...hmm...TELL AERITH SOME NICE LAST MESSAGE BEFORE HE WAS WOLF FOOD.

Sorry.

But, yeah, a lot more could've been done about it if he'd just sent out a group email along the lines of "Shinra sent an unimaginable numbers or people to kill me."

Then again, if he had texted everything about what had happened to him and Cloud to say, Aerith or Tifa, there wouldn't have been a good plot twist in the original VII. =P
 
I think it was like that massiva mailing to all the headquarters on some messages or they needed to see if zack was alive to kill him he knows of shinras plans he must die to coverup their act. Maybe if zack sends mail he will be traced and it would be more bad, he would've been found more easily.
