When do I get to return to the Golden Saucer?

I'm going through the game (PC version) and I just got to the second disk. The meteor is on its way and I am no longer allowed back into the golden saucer.... How far in the game/what do I have to do to be able to get back into the saucer??? I want to race chocobos

you have to get the highwind, then the golden saucer and chocobo breeding/racing is all yours.

i have the highwind and have a bunch of chocobos in my ranch... they wont let me back in... i just go back in the normal way, right? or do i go through the sand or wth... im so confused

you go back the normal way, through the town.

It mght still be shut, if it is proceed with the story some more and try again a little later, Im pretty sure it gets mentioned some where....
