When did you first play this game? Was it when it came out for the SNES or more recently when it was released for the PS or the GBA?

The first time I played it was on the SNES. I think I was eight or nine at the time. I was instantly hooked with the game even though I didn't completely understand the storyline. I wasn't very good so my brother had to help me out with a lot of it. Rydia was and still is my favorite character and I started crying when you lose her because I thought Leviathan ate her. I was very happy when she came back later in the game.

I played back on the SNES, I was in middle/jr high school I think when I played it... it was my uncles copy and didnt get very far... though now that I have it on PSX, I finally got to get further into it...

I am actualy just getting ready to start this game right now since I recently beat FFVI. My assistant manager at work let me borrow his GBA and the FFIV game so I figured I'd give it a shot on a handheld. I'm usually not a big fan of handhelds, so this should be interesting.

Later on though, I'll no doubt buy FFIV in the Chronicles Compilation so that I have it as my own for my PS.

I first played it on the Game Boy Advanced. Good game, its really
easyhowever. Until you go to fight
Bahamut
Well for me anyway. XD

I played it for the first time when I was about 11 or 12 years old. It was one of the first games that I got for the SNES, and it still is one of my favorite rpg's.

The easiest way to defeat Bahamut is to use his own strength against him. You can do that by having Rosa cast reflect on herself. Hopefully Cecil will survive the first Megafire so you can cast reflect on him then. If that doesn't happen then hopefully Kain was in the air at that time and cast reflect on him. You'll have to alternate casting relfect on these two characters because reflect only works for two magic attacks on that character.

I just played it when it was released for the GBA. I really enjoyed it ^^

Plus I loved Edge, and Edge/Rydia is adorable xD

this was the first final fantasy game i played (actually right before ffVII) and it was the snes version. i think i was 13.

I played this gem of a game through good old emu.(obviously I emulated the snes version).

ive played the snes version but that was ages ago and i was like 7-8 (yes many years after it was released)
i gotta say that the snes version is 1000000x harder than the gba version

I've always beaten this game with around level 60 characters. it didn't depend on the version maybe i'm just really lucky

SNES.
it was like my favorite game in my grade school years.

I first played it when it was released as part of the FF Anthology. It was actually the very first FF i ever played and it was given to me as a birthday present. Before i had no interest in the FF series so without it i might not have gotten into the series and became the huge fan i am now. Because of this FFIV remains my all time favourite FF.

The first time i played it was back when i was at the 5th grade. I borrowed it most of the time from my cousin and it was fun.
