Mine was 125 with wolves in Eastersand. I got so many wolf pelts that I sold them all for like 6000 Gil. Pretty good way to make money and once you kill wolves in about 1 hit you can just keep running around getting HUGE chains. Just don't do what I did and continue your chain after you have 99 pelts because you can't hold anymore.

So what's your highest Kill chain?
 
I got up to 120 with the thingies (haha i can't remember their names) that were in the Eastern Sandsea. Can't say it was worth the time though. <_<
 
mine was 250...

trying to get Tournesol.. i spent like 2 hours trying to get hells-gate flame

I've watched GA get 300 Chains agaist the Urban-Yensas in the Westersands.. well I should say, I fell asleep when he hit 100 then, when I woke up he was at 300, he finally decided to move on with the storyline.. I mean if you play for that long to kill one type of monster then there is something wrong with you
 
Did it until 400+ chains to get Hell-Gate's Flames for Tournesol.. Was expecting to have better drop from Lv 4 chain.. But well.. Things don't reali work that way.. Another pain is Wargod's Band.. Another hard to drop loot.. Actuali was thinking of getting another Tournesol.. Haha.. However, u can only have one Tournesol in the whole game.. Only realize it after I sold all the loots for Tournesol again.. And then scrolling up and down looking for it in the Bazaar.. And it's nowhere to be found.. T_T Don't follow my footsteps.. LoLz.. >_<~
 
i chained up to 160+ Urutan-Yensa in the Ogir-Yensa Sandsea, if thats the one at the right :P in the main complex, just preferred to run from entites, was still low leveled
 
i got a 300 chain with the zombies going through the mines (you know the mines where the train tracks are .. i forgot the name) ... but yeah, thats as high as i cared to get .. after that i didnt really get back into doing chains ...
 
there's something wrong with me, got between 300-500 with the dead bones in nabreus when i was leveling. i remember wanting to get to 500 but i think i gave up somewhere in the middle.

i went a little crazy with the leveling in this game because i always make the mistake of leveling the minimum and having to really really work to get by late in the game. this time i breezed through which was nice.
 
Wow, 999. That's a lot.

I had a 340 chain on the yensa once. That's the highest I have ever done.

As for the tournesol, the hell gate flames dropped pretty easily when you get a high chain, I don't know why its not working for you. And for the wargod band, the easiest way to get them is to steal it from the rare monster outside the zertinan caverns in the yensa sandsea. Steal it from him, walk back into the mines two windows, go back out, and he'll have another. I got six of them in about 20 minutes. You can use this strategy for any rare monster with that item. (not mine by the way, found it somewhere on the net and used it for other items I needed besides the one that this particular person used it for)
