Dirge of Cerberus What was the point....

What was the point of Genisis in the secret ending of Dirge or Cerberus, The sequence movie shows Weiss being obtained and held by Genisis like some kind of present and the Genisis flys away with the life less body, I think I heard some where that Weiss was a Genisis Clone...But it sill leaves a lot off I believe.

Can anyone tell me what the point of it was? besides to open a loop hole for Crisis Core?

Weiss and his brother Nero showed up in Crisis Core to retrieve the half-dead Genesis after Zack left. I think they were maintaining the continuity by having him show up in Dirge to retrieve the fallen Weiss, his "brother". It showed us just what happened to Genesis as far as becoming "healthy" once more. And lastly, I think they may have been opening it up for a sequal, in the case that the game received strong reception.

It was probably put there for some next game in the FFVII series of games. Maybe it was just a little bonus for players for being loyal to the series
