OK, so after watching the trailer a few times, it suddenly hit me that there hasn't been a proper mention of what role the summons will play in CC. From the trailer, we know that one at least (Bahamut) will be an enemy. Will this be the same for all summons, or do you think Bahamut is a one-of enemy? Will you have to fight the summons before obtaining them? Will they feature at all?
In fact, how will magic feature at all in this game? How will magic be incorportaed into the DMW (Digital Mind Wave) system, if it is even there at all?

My guess is that magic will be as useless in CC as it was in Kingdom Hearts. Brute force will prevail in this game. But why oh WHY must it be for the psp???? I want to play it on my PS2!!!! however, summons are another matter. perhaps they will have more to say in CC. it all depends on the quality of the summons.

I also believe that magic will become pretty much useless.

As for the roles of the Summons. I think you'll have to fight them, to get the Materia for Shinra or something like that.

Magic will be very important.

There will be a wide variety of materia. Materia can be both found and synthesized (as in Before Crisis), though the synthization method wasn't explained.

Genesis is a character who specializes in magic, and fights with a sword that has a red blade. He uses a combination of magic and sword skill to fight.

Magic will be very important.

I still think magic is going to be useless in the DMW system. All you have stated is that it is an important factor in the story, but Materia has always been important in the FFVII storyline except for in Advent Children.

From the trailers that I've seen, you fight the summons.

Magic is important but I have no clue has what SE maybe doing with magic system.

Well it looks sort of obvious now what the summons will be doing in the game. It seems like they're going to be enemies, but whether or not you'll acquire the materia for them is still unknown. I'd like to think that you will though
I'm not really looking forward to the magic in this though. For some reason, I can just see it being awkward and clumsy. Kind of like it was in Crystal Chronicles, if you were unfortunate enough to play that
