What makes FFVI one of the best in the series?

Everything in the game is perfect, story, grafic (snes grafic), habilit, sabin and your special punch... Mogle and your dance...(kupo...kupo!!!!) every, I can list a lot of things, but I think every thing had listed... I realy Love this game... It is my Precious... hehehe

I am yet playaing this game today... :P
 
I don't know if somebody already said this but I enjoyed the music (although I played FFVI the first time a few months ago, the sound wasn't very spectacular but the music was.. get it haha :P?) and there were a lot of references to classic works. Like the final battle, it was so based on Dante's Divine Comedy. Also.. Kefka is just a fantastic villian. His laugh was priceless. And just like dr.dkside said: MOOGLES!
 
This game is amazing because its the culmination of the previous 5 games in one last snes epic. This game had everything in it and every awesome person from square worked on this beautiful title. I personally believe this is the best in the final fantasy series and is the last great epic for the FF games. This set the bar for rpgs and no other game (except for Chrono Trigger) has come close to meeting it.
 
I could list why I think the game is so awesome and prefect, but my post would be an essay lol so I'll water it down.

The reasons I love the game are very simple yet powerful enough to count as reasons.
1: The deeply developed story line and characters.
2: The beautiful and godly music created by one of the most talented musicians ever.
3: The classic, fun and awesome graphics in the game.
4: The stunning dialog and humor
5: The emotions you feel for each character's loss that was caused by the Empire.
Final: The fact that SE had someone create the story for each character before the game and the fact that each character had been wronged by the Empire some how.
No offence ment to anyone but i feel FFVI is over-rated. It's a decent enough game but to me, it's no better than ANY FF before, or after it. It's just more of the same. The first 6 FF's were very, very similar in terms of gameplay, storytelling etc. FFVI's story was slightly better than most but it's just something about people saying it's one of the best that doesn't sit well with me.

Over rated?! What? How is FFVI overrated? That makes me laugh my butt off!

Seriously though....can someone explain to me why that member thought FFVI was over rated?

Alas, I've come across people whose said FFVI was the most stupidest game ever and had no character/story development compared to FFVII, but nothing to that matter. Over rated would belong to a few other titles in the FF series, but defiantly not VI.
 
Well I have very little to add, since my reasoning to love this game has already been answered 100 times over in this thread, I agree with most the people who wrote positive posts about this game, while the story is occasionally corny the game is a joy to play and like many classic SNES games I simply could not (and sometimes still now) put it down.
