On the original Playstation release of the game - NOT the greatest hits version - what color were the game discs? To be more clear - I know that PS1 games were on black discs - but what color was the face of the disc? Was it white, or silver?

One more time - I'm asking about the ORIGINAL release - NOT the re-release. (Greatest Hits)

Thank you.

i believe that the original was white also but im not sure if my brothers version was greatest hits or not. but i do think that they would still all be the same color.... just the game case changes to tell that its not an original. which is just that the greatest hits is made so they keep 1000 original copies and sell them fer like 100 bucks on ebay er sumtin...

Yeah same here. The backs are black on all FFVII games, original and Greatest Hits, and top face cover for my original game is white.

well i have the greatest hits version and they're silver. and i know one of the copies was white so im gonna say they were white.

Just curious, because I bought a copy, and wasn't sure if I got the authentic. It was sold as the original "black label", and the discs were white face. However, I see people selling "black label", with silver discs. To complicate this even more, every other GH version game that I have has white face on the discs.

Just want to be sure. But if some of you got the game during production copy, and they're white, that gives me a better feeling...

My copy of FFVII is white with the meteor logo and Final Fantasy VII on it, i didn't know a silver version existed O_O

Sadly i don't know which version of FFVII mine is...but im fairly sure its the platinum one ?

The copy I have is white at the top, and it's the original version I think as I bought a second-hand copy back in 2001. I only have the Platinum editions of FFVIII and FFX

My original copy had a white face and a black backside.
My re-release copy has a silver face and a black backside. =]

Yes, this is true.

My original has white on top as well and black on the bottom.

My greatest hits copy is sliver on the top and black on the bottom as well.

Unfortunately, I could find any holograms anywhere on the disc's like the PS2 disc's have when viewing the bottom of the DVD's, but if they match what everyone here has said, you're probably alright.
