Haven't seen a thread like this, but if there is feel free to close it...Dan. :ahmed:

Anyways...

I've visited:

a.) San Diego, California - great place, great weather, great atmosphere. I'd definitely get a loft here if I had the money. Also we have the security guarantees of the US Navy, Marines, and Air Force so I guess it's a pretty safe city.

b.) Tijuana, Mexico - it's a shitty place, but it's the only place in Mexico I've been. :wacky:

c.) Las Vegas - great place, love the Strip.

d.) Manila, Philippines - the homeland. I get nostalgic sometimes. :hmph:

Ooooh boy. I have an extensive list. I'll stick to the (more or less) major cities.

A) Portland, OR - Nice city, good weather. People are pretty groovy.

B) Coeur d'Alene, ID - Great outdoorsy type town, but otherwise kind of scary. Neo-Nazi compound is just outside of town. I spent a lot of time there, and I only ever saw one Asian family, never any black folks.

C) San Diego, CA - Went to the Holiday Bowl - a Wazzu victory :awesome: - and I liked most of what I saw. Qualcomm is surprisingly easy to get to/escape.

D) Anaheim/Pasadena, CA - Went to a Rose Bowl. Pasadena is gorgeous. Anaheim isn't horrible. Traffic can bite.

E) Denver, CO - Do not want. Traffic is terrible. Winters are brutal. Airport is the WORST. AIRPORT. EVER.

F) Colorado Springs, CO - Home of the Air Force Academy. I liked it here, and would consider moving back. Winters are tough, and traffic can be sticky at times, but there are plenty of alternate routes. Strange combination of folks due to military influence.

G) Dallas-Fort Worth, TX - Not a fan in general, though it's not horrible. Downtown area of Dallas doesn't blow you away.

H) San Antonio, TX - Hot summers are HOT. Riverwalk is pretty awesome though. Some parts of city are .... scary. But you can't beat the amount of hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurants that are unbelievably good.

I) Hampton Roads, VA - Probably one of the most under-the-radar metropolitan areas. It's got a little bit of everything, save a major sports franchise. Summers redefine humidity.

J) DC Area, Northern VA - WORST. TRAFFIC/DRIVERS. EVER. Historically, great area to bounce around and see the sights. Otherwise, I'm not a fan. High cost of living, terrible traffic, and high-strung folks.

K) Fort Myers, FL - I liked this city, for the most part. Downtown area is nice, it's right on the river, people are interesting.

L) Maui, HI - Well, what can you say about Hawaii? It's gorgeous. But I couldn't live there. Cost of living is ridiculous, and I'd get island fever within about 3 months.

M) Vancouver, BC - Gorgeous city. If only it weren't in Canada.

N) Tacoma, WA - Completely biased, as it's my hometown, but I don't know if there's a better place to be between July 4th and Columbus Day.
