and I don't feel any differently, I thought it was meant to be the Second Coming or something but I don't even feel the tingly feeling I get knowing that a new console which I can afford is only 30 min away.

Talking about the PS3 of course, anyone get their console today ok? What are your first impressions of Sony's behemoth?

I didn't actually know it was out yesterday until i went into Game and saw a new section for it. I won't be getting one until they lower the price.

I personally don't think it is worth it right now. There aren't any games out for it right now that interest me.

Well tbh it's been the 360 that's stuck out more this last week with the ads and publicity stunts that Microsoft have been pulling off.

At the London launch some people were there handing out camping chairs for people to sit on. If you visit their site you'll see the joke, the url were on the back of the chairs.

Also in Paris they had a barge sail past the PS3 launch like this.

Very ballsy it has to be said.

Well I must say it's a beautiful sight to look at. They sell some in my store and I just have to look at it whenever I pass the video games area.

But the price is just way up there, and I think it's ridiculous to buy it now, especially when there's really no games out that I like. I'll buy it next year though, that's for sure.

i really have no interest in getting one at the moment - i refused to belive the hype for this as i had for the Wii. now im not bashing either of the systems but there aren't enough games out to buy either of them in europe at the moment  so i suppose Christmas is when ill be wanting one...or when mores released about tekken 6

I've been to a few shops where they have those booths taking up half the floor with Motorstorm running on it, is it only me or is it completely underwhelming to look at? It looked pretty no doubt about it and better than most I've seen on the previous-gen systems as you would expect but it just seemed to be a game with cleaner and smoother textures than anything else.

I got myself motorstorm not too long ago, that's one fun game. I'm not exactly a race fan, but this is so...different. One game where I'm actually smiling while crashing.

One thing is for sure though, my wallet is hurt and I doubt it will forgive me for these expensive purchases....
I would have had no chance what so ever to get it, if it weren't for the fact that I decided to save a lot of money more than a year ago.

To sum things up, ps3 is worth the money, but your wallet might bite you.

Well you cant find it here right now, have been looking for it.
no i wouldent buy it for me but for my "kids"ha ha ha.
Well will see but i'm shure if i can found one untill July i'll buy one as Birthdaypresent for my younger son,and than i'll play with it.Ha

now that's cruel :P

By the way, the ps3 has a system that lets you create one master account, and then sub accounts. And of course the master account controls what the sub accounts are able to do. Just an idea of how to make sure your kid wont do things you don't want it to do :P
You can also put parental control on it. You have a scale from 1-10, each game has it's own number. For example if a game would contain adult content, then of course it has a high number. You just have to choose which number and down your kid will be able to enter.

Make sure to add me when/if you get one, and we could play games together ;)
