Playstation Watch Dogs - is UPlay mandatory for online? (PS4)

Hello, sorry to make a post on such a Simple question but infant find anything for this online. I see copies of Watch Dogs are going for cheap now pre-owned. So what I want to know is if I buy Watch Digs pre-owned will i be shut out of its online features if my code is expired? I had this experience with Far Cry 3 and I couldn't get online at all.

Yep. and I assume by UPlay you mean PS+?

Uplay is Ubisoft's launcher/DRM authentication, Smiff.

You need PS+ but you do not need Uplay, Vivi. Us PC gamers are the ones stuck with it.
