Wakka Voice

His accent changes throughout FFX also, he sounds alot more Polynesian at the beginning than in the latter stages of the story, I suppose this just carried over to FFX-2. Maybe it was because the voice actor was having trouble with getting familiar with the role or maybe it was an executive decision to tweek the accent a bit

John Dimaggio has voiced loads of memorable characters but what does that have to do with this Thread?

Another possibility of the change in voice would of course be that it's just us getting so used to the accent a bit like chewing on gum for so long, it loses it's taste after a while

*very late post*

it's possible that Wakka's voice sounded different because of these reasons

-as a person ages, his voice changes, only slightly, but with some it's more noticeable
-sound recording becomes better thus more purer voice, thus sounding different
-it was simply a different person(and i think this one is wrong because they used the same voice actors for most characters)

It was the same, what in the world are you talking about. I mean at first it does, but then it sounds like in FFX. Well to me it did.

Yeah, I think it was the same voice actor all the way through :P

@Raptorg: I highly doubt that the sound recording improved so much in the short space of time between FFX and FFX-2 to make such a noticable change in John Dimaggio's voice, in fact, I believe it had nothing to do with Dimaggio's actual voice just the way he voiced Wakka wholely

Maybe he was sick! lol. Yeah, I did notice a difference though. It was slight but it was there. He sounded younger or something. Not sure...

Maybe it was because Sin was gone and he had a little more "Cheer" in his voice. haha. If Wakka sounded different kimahri had to sound different too. They had the same voice actor.

Granted but Kimahri doesn't say much anyway, Wakka on the other hand yammers on like no ones business. I think it was an executive decision for the voice change, I have no doubt that SE would have picked up on it if it wasn't

He talked in X-2 alittle. Enough to tell if he voice was different. I am not sure. Although I did notice a slight difference in Wakka's voice, meh.
