I think this was my favorite setup for recieving your ultimate weapons. With every other game the weapons are just scattered around, devil may care. For example, in FFVII some of the weapons were in Midgar, some where obtained through visiting some remote locale, others were obtained through boss battles. Only in Final Fantasy V was there one place where all the greatest weapons were stored, used by the heroes before them, and unlockable by traveling through various dungeons. Anyone else like this setup?

This was great! This really stepped up my excitement for FFV and it had a perfect "Fantasy" feel to it. You walk around and are only allowed to unlock 4 at a time and of course you browse which one is the most stunning of all and will enable you to kick the msot ass.

Great part of the game, definitely!

Yeah, it was a lot easier to get for me, so im all for that kinda layout =D

Yea, wrong weapons Saavy. Nice try though.

I wish more games had that kind of setup for final weapons. And honestly, I really wish they'd go back to job classes and weapon restrictions. Not as tight as FFX, where you only had one type of weapon to choose from, but not as varied as in FFXII where you could have any.

haha No he's right Aztec. I made this mistake too not too long ago. The SUper bosses he is referring to were included in the GBA version of FFV which were not in the FF Anthology version of the game. yes, we missed out.

EDIT:
Nevermind, I realized what you were telling him. You were explaining to him actual fighting weapons and not the boss weapons. Scrath this post.

Getting the ultimate weapons was basically part of the FFV story. In other games they are there to help you out if you spend the time to find them. I prefer hunting for each weapon in a different location rather than doing 1 dungeon and getting 3 at a time

Lol "Yea, wrong weapons [BustaMo]. Nice try though."

Honestly I don't see it as missing out. (For the super-boss weapons) It wasn't a part of the game. I don't need or want to play it. It's heretic (adj; hair-et-ick) in nature. I hate when they do that. They should've just gone and brought in a magical guest appearance by Squall and Micheal Jackson while they were at it. It's pointless.

I loved it.
To me the clues seemed vague on where to get the tablets but whatever.
Barrier Tower = best Level EVER!
