well well well its been a while since ive been here well im playing this game for the 3 time and im just getting arouund to completeing the grid any tips and how long was you time when you first did it

i completed it rather easily.. using that cactus trick for spheres.. and then when i completed it.. i went back and deleted some stuff and re-filled the spears in.. i was back in highschool when i beat this game so i had way too much free time on my hands and i enjoyed playing it.. unlike ff12 which ive given up on.. way too boring lol

it took me a pretty long time to complete the sphere grid. at least 2-3 weeks probably more, though when i last played FFX it was during the school year, so maybe itd take less time during the summer. id say your best bet is to find a monster in the monster arena that gives a lot of sphere points, most monsters from omega ruins will do it. also have weapons with triple or double ap, or AP->overdrive.

This is a great way to get sphere levels. Its a litttle bit complicated but worth it.

1) All your character must have overdrive>AP ability.

2) Set 2 characters to overdrive Comrade and one to overdrive stoic.

3) Fight Don Tonberry at the monster arena, only attack with the stoic character (They will be immediately Karma'd to death), use one of the comrades to Life/phoenix down the stoic. Repeat untill DonTonberry has made his 4 steps forwards (Its pointles fighting when he doesn't cast Karma anymore.). Then use flee. You are looking at one hell of a lot of Sp levels!!!

ha damn i couyld see how that would give you lots i have too much time on my hands as im am in my senior year of high school soon and this year will be easy so no other time to do it and hey can i just put all charaters on stoic and have them all attack

its better to use just one in stoic and the other 2 on comrade...
using this method 1 person attacks, 3 people get shed loads of ap.
using your method all 3 would have to attack to get the same ap.

i usually fight king cactuar, and put all 3 on comrade,
that way every time catuar attacks (or counter attacks), he can do 10,000 damage or 99,999 damage to 1 of my characters, resulting in 2 members getting either 30,000 AP (with triple overdrive - overdrive > AP) or 299,997 AP. The advantages being, you can continue until the catuar decides to flee (or you do) and it isn't dependent on how many fiends you have killed (Don Tonberry's karma counter is [fiends killed x 100] or something)

heh i already beat the game finished my main goal of killing all of the creations i did not break hp limit though a HUGE waste of time ahhhh feels so good to be done with it i had 120 hours when i finished the game

LOL… wow, it’s been a while, but I remember it taking me about two weeks the first time through of off and on play to fully complete everyone’s Sphere Grids. It was tedious, but I thought it was fun the first time through, now I cheat :shame:.

I never completed the sphere grid 'cause I was too bored to be made to find more Lvl. 3 key spheres. I think the farthest I got any character was approximately 80% of his sphere grid. (Tidus)

Man I never got to half of the sphere grid with all seven characters together... this was the first time I've played it of course.
The second time I used the advanced sistem... and I'm still on it right now...:)

theres no kidding on about it, yeah it takes ages to complete but when you do complete your characters are comletely pumped with strength, HP, speed, you name it.

even yuna is able to defeat that bloody malboro in the omega dungeons with her dinky little staff. the only problem you need to worry about is breaking the HP limit and MP limit

you do not need to break hp or mp limit they are not very good abilites...

i beat all of the games chalanges without it i am now going back to put in hp shperes for fun

also the tonberry lvl trick can get you 99slvls in 1 battle

im almost twice around the grid with 136 hrs racked up so far. I have all the ultimate weps, break hp & break damage and im STILL stuck on dark bahamut.......so i need to get my butt moving round that grid

yeah, ribbon is a must have...altho saying that, iv noticed that dark bahamut can attack you with status effects regardless grrrr

its still a must have on armour tho, and id still say break HP was essential, the only dark aeon i didnt need it on was dark valefor...as long as you get in there with the auto life before it energy rains you to death.....

Well the version I played didn't have the dark Aeons, but yeah break hp and ribbon are both important.
And I completed the Sphere Grid with everyone except Kimari I think, didn't use him that much if at all.

i wish i had your version, then i think i would have done everything available.......

kimahri & lulu were prob my least used chars but i did try to rotaTE my formation to keep everyone around the same level, altho sphere grid wise i got way further with Auron & Yuna, she was my stongest at physical attacks at one point, by a ridiculous margin aswel, she was doing hits of 99,999 while auron was doing on average 30,000.......i evened it out eventually lol

I mostly used Tidus, Wakka, Auron and Rikku, so they had the highest lvls and were the farthest on the grid, in fact with them I started deleting slots so I can make new. They all did 99999 damage.
