Trouble in the Mines

I'm in the mines in the Floating City, in the first "Real" room.
I'm at the exit, but it's gated and I can't find a switch- there's something that looks like one up some stairs to the right, but I can't interact with it.

There will be a gate there until you complete some of the hunts as a sidequest and get keys for them.

It being gated now will have no interference with the main story line.

do you mean the lushu mines in bujherba?

I it is, i didnt find any problem in there. Just got stuck from a second while escaping from there .

Just gonna tell you that one of the two roads where it splits, is closed. Besides, after reaching where you should, you will be pursued by bangaas, you know thats when to run, dont fight, i dont recommend it.

ms. garnet is correct. the mines will be fully opened much later in the game by doing some sidequests and signing up for hunts.

also, like hydracula stated, when you're being chased out of the mines, RUN!
