So I just killed the Fire Dragon in the labs under Dipan Castle. Out the window and talk to a messenger, who says I need to be 35 and kill Ifrit to continue in that area.

Where can I train at 18? I know I can't take the Tonberry boss yet (haven't tried, but his stats outweigh mine by a lot). I can only go through the Dipan Castle and areas before that, which are very slow with the experience. Any where I can go that I haven't? So far I've only gone through Royal Tunnel/Cave and the Dipan Castle.

Any help is welcome, I am addicted to this game. :D

Hahahahahaha take your time with the answers, as I'm banned for a day now after clicking on 'Rob this bank'. I tried to escape after seeing what I was facing, and cookie monster just said NO. :(

You can go to the bar and talk to Jecht in order to go to the FIre caverns and train. After that go to the bar and talk to Tifa and train in the cellar-> centra ruins... you get new pets from both.

When I talk to Jecht it just says 'What do you want!?' or something like that, with no continuation chat, just a retry and leave. And Tifa just mentions going to the cellar to hunt a pest (Tonberry). I'll try again once I'm unbanned....stupid curiosity clicking on the 'rob this bank' tab.

Also, I don't NEED a pet do I? I used 'Alicia' from the beginning town for awhile, and found her useless.

There should be continuation. Try it again. There should be a response that you can click on and then you get into n arguement or something and at the top of the screen it should say you have access to the fire caverns. The worst part though is that you have to do the same thing in order to get to the fire caverns every time...brb I'm gonna look further into the issue

Edit:

when he says "what do you want shrimp?"

A text box should come up and there should be a response where you click "Who are you calling shrimp?"

Then he says something else and you respond

I could take you.

Then he mentions the fire caverns and defeating Ifrit. You can go there from the link that pops up in the top left of the screen...

Ah ok, I'll look for the response message. It took me awhile to find the window on the staircase in Dipan Castle as well.....:gasp:

I'll give it a go tomorrow, thanks.

Yea I love it so far, great for when I'm working overnights and I've got nothing to do. Only thing I don't like is that there are few hints where to go and all, but still fun.

Take note Seru_Kai, of what I am about to mention here; you must first reach Level 20 before you can advance to the Fire Cavern areas, I believe mention of that in this thread has not occurred until now. :hmmm:

That's probably because it was a fact I didn't know....Sorry Seru...and Crimson where have you been? I needed some rpg answers....but I'll take care of it tomorrow....seeya!

Sorry Oliver, real life stuff causing me to be pretty occupied now. X_x I'll try to do what I can, but I don't often have a whole lot of time to get into time consuming online stuff at this time, I'm afraid. >.>'

Oh the wisdom hit me like a train! I guess I'll just......train (doh) in Dipan for 2 more levels, then go dominate Fire Caverns. Just love watching my guy take little damage while striking down those damned werewolves :ohshit:

Beware. The fire caverns are not as easy as you think. Magic is required, and enemies are stronger.

^I was afraid of that, my magic except cure is all level 1, and my MAG itself is at base......gawd. I'll just lower some strength or something and balance it.

Yea but slaying werewolves when they use berserk is soooo much more fun! :busta: Plus I've always hated harpy monsters, ever since I played World of Warcraft...... but I'll suffer through it!

Heh, which would you rather, suffer through more battles of grinding, or less, but against Harpies? :giggle: Your choice, whatever you are doing, it is working, just a couple more levels then you're ready to advance to some monsters which hopefully will present a good challenge and be a test of one's skill. :dave:

Well I'm probably going to grind a couple levels just using magic, since Fire Cavern apparently needs it. :(

Around what levels of magic would I need? Everything but cure is level 1, and cure is level.....3 I think.

Its easier if you get all spells to level 6. Cure is an exception for me though. I just now got it to level 6 and then I got more spells to level :gonk:

Crimson, I need a way to fight these wolves in the mystic forest! It's too hard for me for some reason...

Just grind on the enemies in the area before. And try to allocate your stats to double them so that they get less turns in battle.
