Tips and Tricks for everyone

Heres some helpful tips for everyone to start. No spoilers or anything like that.


Weapons: Learn lvl 1 Axe's on EVERYONE and get EVERYONE equiped with an Axe. They have TONS of power and prove to work GREAT in the frirst 30% of the game. (To the point I'm at actually) I'm dealing over 1,000 points of damage and I'm only lvl 26. The down side to this, there damage is RANDOM. You could deal from 3 to your max depending on your lvl, str, and power ups on the LB you have.


Magic: Get everyone to learn Cure and Rise ASAP!!!! I cant stress this enough. Its HARD to get gill to buy potions and phoenix downs. Once you buy the spell from the shop, everyone can use it as long as you have unlocked it on the LB. The way you get your MP back is by walking around. Every few steps, you gain 1MP back till your max.

Accessorys: This is gona get expensive. But not too expensive in LP. You want to get lvl 8 Accessorys on EVERYONE so you can equip everyone with a Golden Amulet. This baby doules your LP gain!!! Thats how I'm getting so much LP and maxing my LB out! MWAHAHA I got every party member able to equip ALL armor in the game right now. I'm currently working on weapons now and then magic and stat boosters. They cost $4,500 a pop if I remember correctly.

Chain: Theres another system in FF XII and its called Chain. The higher the chain the more you get. To increase your Chain lvl, you need to kill the same mob over and over. Again, the higher the chain lvl the more you get. Instead of getting 1 potion, have a chain lvl of 50 and you can get 3 to 8 and the same goes for other items. Plus as an added bonus, you can get heald randomly with a random amount, AND you can get spelles like protect and shell casted on your party for free

I COULD give the BEST location to get a sweet chain AND LP gain thats in the SAME area but I dont want to post any spoilers in the game.

hmmm more tips. Well I just switched to a new weapon. I still used lvl 2 Axes for about 50% of the game and I owned all boss fights with it as well till I switched to a new weapon. Its only -7 weaker from the best lvl 3 Axe but like I said azes can range from 0 to 1,500 depending on your lvl. But with my new weapon, in the Kantana weapons, I dont deal less than 600 damage anymore lol So its good to know WHEN its a good time to change weapons.

Chains part 2. With higher chains, you get more items that you can sell faster. You NEED to do this to make fast money! I can spend 15min in an area, (want to know the area send me a pm I wont post a spoiler) and net about 5,000 gill and TONS of items to sell for about 3,500 as well

Also do you have any hints on getting more gil and maybe increase the chance of using defend (or protect)? It's really frustrating because I keep getting attacked by the opponents. I can rarely protect myself and I really have no idea how to do that frequently or at the time when I feel for it.

YEah I got axes lv 2 lic. for almost everyone but have not found an axe yet or a place to buy one yet.

nevermind I just found a merchant outside of a tomb, it's a lvl 1 but it still has alot more damage than my daggers and swords.

I already told the best way to make gil, thorugh chains because you get more of an item that you can sell wich means more gill to make.

To improve your blocking, you would want to get some shields. There are also some licenses that you can get that improve the chance to evade with a shield as well.

Sorry, I dont remember 100% when you get your first chance to buy an axe. I think its when you get one of the main characters, not gona say who because I dont want to ruin anything for anyone, but this person starts with lvl 1 Axe I think. But hes really good with axe's lol
