Dont go into the shop on the thunderplains while dodging the 200 lightning bolts. I went to see what number I was at (117) and came back out and did like 60 more and went to check and it still said 117 . So apparently you cant go anywhere else along with not getting hit . Got back up to 120 before I lost my concentration and blew it.

You cant examine the save spheres either, just stay put and dodge :8F:

This is sooooooooooooohhhh STUPID! I remember passing a whole afternoon counting this shit, it was a very traumatic part of my life!

I know this is weird but the way i beat it was first and foremost have No Encounters, and then i tapped X to the beat of the Thunder Plains music, i don't know how much luck i had though because i failed on 202.

Dodging the 200 lightning bolts is actually not so hard. There is a certain area of the Thunder Plains where the lightning will always strike. So, it'll be easy to dodge. Here are two video links on YouTube showing the location.

It should take about 15 minutes to get it done, if not a little bit longer. (the videos helped me very much when I did it the first time)

To get the Venus Sigil, which is used to fully charge Lulu's Celestial Weapon.

I don't mind doing this- I sat and did it the last time with my boyfriend counting with me (first time I ever did this- I thought I had 200, but only had 198), so that if I lost count, he would be a back up. I did my one in the first area, just where there's a slope downwards, fairly close to one of the Lightning towers, and the path widens a little.

Yeah I was at one spot where they hit pretty frequently but I just lost my concentration when I tried it again (got to like 58). Im trying to get all the Legendary weapons but the easy ones are already done (yuna's and auron's). I tried for tidus's and got a 1 second time on the chocobo race :jtc:.

Actually, there's an even easier way than the spot shown in the video. It's at that same spot, but... Instead of looping back to that crater to get hit, go over the slope behind the crater and stand at the lake's edge. If I remember right, you don't move even after you get struck... you'll be hit, hit, hit, thrown up into the crater basically, and then immediately hit again. So you usually get about five hits within maybe 10 seconds? It's a bit faster. Then after the second crater hit, just run back down to the water's edge and you'll get struck again while you stand there...repeat.
