Those Who Fight Piano Cover (Battle Theme)

I'm just going to move this thread to Final Fantasy Miscellaneous, because while it is a VII topic, it really isn't a topic for general VII game discussion. (Thread moved).
 
I've heard other piano versions of this song & though I'm no piano player it looks extremely difficult to play. :ohshit:

Your version sounds good. :grin: I think you did an excellent job with it.
 
Nice arrangement! I also like the official piano collections version. I tried to learn it long ago, but my hands hurt a lot, so I gave up XD

Your arrangement would be even better if it was slightly longer and has more variation. But I like how you stay true to the melody.

I wish I can arrange music easily. All I do is read from sheet music. Being able to arrange and play by ear is a great blessing IMO. I had some desires to compose my own music, but I have little knowledge or skills to do so.
 
Richard B Riddick: It's not as hard as it sounds, but it is a reasonably challenging piece. The end result was worth the definitely trouble I went through to get everything as good as it could be, though.

Cid Raines: My hands did hurt quite a lot after doing this for a while. Especially after the added 10th that I decided to add near the end of the piece. I tried to vary a little, but there was too much excellent source material in the first place, and the matter of length was more a matter of endurance. XD
As for composing and arranging, they're both fairly easy after a bit of practice. If you try composing over some easy chords, or arranging a few easy piece, after while you sort of get accustomed to doing it and it becomes almost second nature when you hear other stuff. I've only actually been keying out and arranging for about 4 months, and most of that was just procrastination anyway.
