I think it does, except the Battle tracks. What gets on my nerve is the almost silent sounds that play when your on a mission or in Banora. The music is fine, just weird. What's your take on it?

The music in Crisis Core is hardly techno...xD Myself and my husband are musicians and I really don't feel like any of the music is techno... I really do enjoy the music in this game. There's a lot of soothing, piano/guitar mix that has a modern and classical touch to it. Then you have a lot of rock pieces, like the battle with Angeal, that was pretty awesome. Some of the music, like the midnight walk when you're shooting those robot/machine things with the guns and such has an almost bluesy feeling to it. I bought the soundtrack and quite enjoy it. I also liked how they redid some of the original FFVII songs as well.

I can honestly say I didn't notice techno in it, so I'm gonna take Mandi's word for it and think there was hardly, if any. But I'll speak on behalf of all FF's, techno should not be included in it >.> it's such a bad genre of music and should be left to OCRemix's...which even then are pretty bad.

But from what I can remember, Crisis Core's music was pretty cool especially Ayaka's "Why" song at the end which was pretty sensational and the redone version of "One Winged Angel" that was pretty nifty too! 8D

I'll be honest this was the first soundtrack I could sit down and listen to all the way through and enjoy it. I will say there is not really any techno, except for maybe one song.. but hardly techno.

The Price of Freedom - Excellent song. Fully Orchestrated at times, very nice theme music for the end.

Fulfilled Desire - Priceless FF7 theme redone fully orchestrated all the way through.

Night of Seclusion - Excellent percussion along with acoustic guitar. Orchestrated about half way through.

Sky Blue eyes - Mmmhmm, I can definitely use this in one of my top 3 song selections out of any FF game. It had a beautiful piano + violin duo. Brings out some emotion in you.

A flower blooming - ahhhh old memories of FFVII filled my mind with this song. Fully Orchestrated all the way through, made me a bit sad though.

The World's Enemy - Chorus + Orchestra backing. Great "bad" guy theme.

Scars of a friendship - Violin duo - Very freakin beautiful.

Why - Beautiful voice, but not to sure if she is really asian. Sounds like an American singer who knows a bit of Japanese.

Under the apple tree - Makes me think of Angeal and Genesis before all the branching away from SOLDIER. Acoustic with a Rhythm Guitar in the background.

Moonlight Wandering - Kind of a funky toon, a bit of a "western" movie theme heh. But then they bring in the percussion, and it's pretty awesome.

Howl of the Gathering - The only techno resembling song you have. It's fast paced, because I believe it's a battle song.

On the verge of assault - the most repetitive song you will hear thanks to missions, but it is still a good one. Reminds of you FFVII as well.

Encounter - Heavy Guitar, badass battle tone. Probably my fav out of the mix for battle sequences. It might get over repetitive, but that's when you turn the volume off. Missions ....

The Burdened - Violin mostly, but pretty song, reminded me of chrono cross though.

Burden of Truth - Very appropriate for the time of the game. Somewhat melancholy song, but still a very good one.

Fragments of Memories - Ah yes, classic FFVII mix remastered. Very nicely done, fully orchestrated even. No more .midi format.

I'm missing a few, so give me a break.. heh. These are the few that stood out though.

10/10 - music soundtrack.

Ah, whenever I hear Price of Freedom I get cold chills running down my spine, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I have goosebumps now just thinking about that song. That song is so beautifully done and it has so much feeling and emotion in it, you just feel yourself falling into that song. It's almost heartbreaking because you know what's happening while it's playing. It's just sad. I absolutely loved the Crisis Core soundtrack. As for Ayaka, Shu. Yes she is Asian. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayaka

I have no official music education or anything - I just know what I like, and I am a sucker for Video Game Soundtracks.

I love the heavy rock and mix with other sounds or 'moods' with it - but I'm not too much into the DC soundtrack, but I have all of the FF7 compilation OST except for Last Order. (BC is the only downloaded songs, the rest I have the actual CDs)

I enjoyed most of the Crisis core arrangements of FF VII songs, but I didn't like the remix of the boss battle theme. The Summoned is crap compared to Those Who Fight Further.

I enjoyed the music inside the game...some of it was not even close to techno however. I want to show some thanks to Shu for naming some tracks, and I would like to add to it.

The Summoned--When fighting the summons obviously..great spin on the "Still More Fighting" boss battle theme.

An Ancient Hymn Sung By The Water--great theme...occasionally gets stuck inside my head, lol...

Those Who Accept Protection Against The Stars---Final Genesis battle...great rock theme to it

The Mako City--theme when running around Sector 8...it was only a 1:56, but it is something I enjoy listening to.

A Beating Black Wing--First Genesis fight inside the Mako Excavation Site in Modeoheim. I really enjoyed this theme....nuff said.

Controlling The Iron Beast--First Sephiroth fight...first stage of confrontation...and fight against the mechanical spider in Banora...very good theme...ominous in nature as well.

The Skyscraper of Iron And Steel--for those who watched Last Order FFVII, it was used in this game as well...I liked it.

A Closed Off Village--Derived from FFVII's "Anxious Heart"...this theme had a little techno in it, as heard by the synthesizers in the background.

The Gloomy Mansion--Beautiful Piano theme, matched the setting of the derelict ShinRa mansion beautifully.

btw, Shiva, where did you happen to buy the soundtrack? I would be interested in obtaining it, as well as the other soundtracks. I use a website, and I have an extensive list of tracks from the other FF games as well...I download it from a website, move the songs into my Final Fantasy Music folder in my Frostwire, and then put it on my itunes, and into my ipod. Those who are interested in the site just PM me.

Ah, I purchased the soundtrack on ebay. ^^ All I did was just go and search for it, search for a seller that has good feedback, a decent price on the CD and that's it. You'd be amazed at the amount of FF goods you can purchase on that site.

really? wow. I use a website...I have the OST's to FFVII, all compilations, FFVIII, FFX, and some others...however, yeah. Thanks a lot Shiva, you've ben a great help...the Diamond Dust does wonders, lol.

Hahaha lol. Glad I could be of assistance. xD Typically I do download music and such on my computer but there are times I would just prefer to own the actual merchandise, in this case the Crisis Core OST. ;))

yeah....the OST's are awesome though. I really enjoy them...Yeah, the music wasn't do techno at all...mostly rock based and orchestrated...but most of it was made on a synthesizer, and it doesn't necessarily classify it as techno.
