So I recently beat FFVII for the first time a few months ago and it wasn't until yesterday that I remembered that there was a PSP game based on the FFVII universe. I barely play my PSP so I figured that this would be a good buy for me especially considering that Crisis Core is dirt cheap now.

My question is when should I play this game? I realize that there have been a few spinoffs of the series and I'd like to play/watch(Advent Children) all of them, or at least the one's that are worth it.

Should I watch AC first or play Crisis Core first or is there a game/movie that I should play beforehand or does it not matter at all?

Reason I'm asking is because I'm a huge Kingdom Hearts fan and although Birth by Sleep comes first time wise, you really shouldn't play that game first. It only makes the story harder to comprehend.

Thanks for the help.

Doesn't particularly matter. I think Dirge of Cerberus might allude to CC, but I'm not sure. AC doesn't really have anything do to with CC, really. Go ahead an watch AC whenever; I don't remember any spoilers or anything that would warrant playing CC first.

Haha I made this same thread a few months ago :wacky:

You are going to want to play Crisis Core first and then play Advent Children, it gives the movie a bigger background and when you see Zack in the movie for that brief few seconds you'll know about him.

If you are planning to play DoC, I'd think to play it last because it is a brand new story and doesn't really have to do with FF7/AC/CC, except that it has the same people.

So basically, after FF7, play in chronological order :lew:

Zack hasn't got a big part of AC, so all you really need to know about him you can see in the original game. CC does explain more about the relationship between Zack and Cloud and Aerith, but it's not that important. I don't think CC really says anything that would add much to AC.
