Energy Blast Before Macalania

After you defeat Sphere-moth take a hike back all the way to Besaid. Talk to the girl and her dog and the dog will give you energy blast. You can get this item again later but you have to fight the Dark Aeon Valefor to get it! Also on the way back you can pick up most of all the Jecht Spheres too!

Superheros

this isn't a cheat. It's just advice! if you choice to have an expert sphere grid i found that these are the best combinations to put your characters!
Have Yuna learn Black magic. Shes by far the best magic caster and will seriously kick the arse of any fiend vulnerable to magic.
Have Kimarhi learn Tidus Sphere grid and have Tidus learn Aurons Sphere grid. after that get them both to learn wakkas and get Kimhari to learn Aurons. Your guys will be majorly fight happy! plus you can still have all of tidus magic with kimahri! you may find that tidus cant deal with wolfs much but he will be very strong!

You dont have to wait until defeating that boss to get energy blast.
When you first leave Besaid, you can already go back and get it.
Seriously I've tried it.

I got that Jechct sphere doing that so I didn't have to fight Dark Valefor, it took me an absolute age trekking back after I got the first one, but it beat having to go through Dark Valefor for it later

I'm pretty sure you can get that energy blast from that mutt easrlier aswel....although I completely forgot about it on my last play through >_>

Power Leveling;

On the S.S Wikki (what ever it's called, the ship were you are going to Kilika) when you fight sin on the boat, use cheer 5 times. Then keep killing the little Sin bug things that fall off sin. I did it for about 20 mins and I got around 10 sph. lvls.

P.S; I just used Tidus when I did this, so he learnt the overdrive mode 'Loner' and it'll help on this next tip.


Getting Blitz Ace in Kilika;
Once you get into the Kilika Forest, once you get into a fight let everyone escape but Tidus. Keep defending till you learn the overdrive mode 'Loner' (if you got Tidus the overdrive mode 'Loner' on the boat then skip that step)

Once you have learnt Loner, once you go into a fight, make sure to set your overdrive mode to Loner, keep defending in the battle it should take 8 turns for your overdrive meter to fill up, then you Spiral Cut.

Keep repeating this, till you have Blitz Ace. =D

the final battle againstyu-yevon can be a tricky one but not tricky if you have zombie attack! yu-yevon is vulnerable to Zombie so attack with that and he will kill himself!
