Obviously there's nothing left to do since we'll have to wait for the release of Gold Version, which we don't know when that will happen. Due to the fact, that we are going to reset the RPG in order to fix some things, add more quests, sidequests, etc., and posibly work in a different way in which how summons are going to be obtained by players, I was wondering if we could device a work plan now, and get some things organized in order to make our work a lot much easier when ZT realeases Gold.

I know that we are going to change the double wielding for Large Broadswords and other types of heavy weapons (axes, spears, hammers), and that the whole stats limits are going to be changed, but I was wondering if we could start thinking about the sidequests that we are goinbg to add, and ways on giving players something to do after beating the game.

Well, just a wierd thought.... I have quite some free time on my hands right now...:P

Read my thread about resetting, I made it VERY clear what I thought were some necessary changes.

Plus, I think doing the story of the Nameless Warrior would be fun for the next rpg.

Ok, since you wrote about the "Nameless Warrior" and I remember reading about a bad ending, how do I get the evil ending? I am still trying...

Well yes, continuing the story of the Nameless Warrior would be good since I am starting to get curious about the truth behind his past...That chat with Fake Sephiroth NPC made me think about who was the real person behind that much chaos, was it the Nameless Warrior? Or was it Sephiroth? Is it true what he says? Can I trust either of those characters?

Am I (as a player) being manipulated for a higher purpose? Am I (as a player again), doing the right thing by killing the Incarnates and sending them back to Archaenon?

You know, curiosity killed the cat....in this case....me:P

To be honest, I do not want to see level 75s beating level 150s. If the game was truly balanced, that would not happen. But I would like to see people with balanced stats.

As for your proposed ideas, in the other thread, I would not want to see any features removed.

In my idea, the levels stop at 100, so your example doesn't work in this case.

Not even the really crappy ones, like the components setup? There is a good reason why FF games do not allow custom weapons- they don't work.

Well, we could use the level 25 verses the level 50.

My thread has proved that people do not want to lose features. The only one I feel should go is modifiers. Also, the game cannot be all dungeons. I think we should have at least one airship. ;)

We shouldn't allow players to get summons until one of the last parts of the game, and only as a sidequest. We could use Books to tell players about mysterious temples or hidden treasures in order to give them a hint about what must be done if they want to get a summon.

Summons should'nt earn many Attribute Points, and they must have certain spells for their own. Honestly is quite wierd to have Ifrit cast Blizaga....

Towns should remain visible, but normal roads should not, like Mike said, we can use warp systems to travel faster across the RPG without using the world map so much.

Also I agree on the fact of limiting double wielding to Medium Swords, Knives and Small Swords. Weapons like axes, hammers, large swords, spears and any other weapon that is part of a class higher than medium swords shouldn't have the option of double wielding.

I am sure that both of you will agree with me when I blame double wielding for making PvPs to short, allowing players to kill each other with one attack.

Come on, I feel wierd when a players is allowed to wield two weapons that are extremely heavy. Like two hammers..or two really long swords (Cloud is an exception, but his swords at AC aren't so heavy)..or maybe two spears!!

The important thing is that all the features in the game work. For example, banks actually give interest. Also, we need to set bank guards that actually make robbing the bank tough.

A lot of thought needs to be put into the areas. If people are not getting summons until towards the end, then monster encounter rates need to be low. No more than two monsters in any place. But the monsters cannot be a pushovers either. We also need to do some real character development.

Like I said, get the story setup now. We can go over the story here. NPC names need to be setup with the story. As for the setting up of the places and the monsters. We can do that last. If we do the proper ground work, the game will not be screwed up. The monsters need to be part of the story. All of them. Maybe we can come up with names for the monsters along with the NPC names. We are not doing all NPC fight triggers though. That is kinda stupid.

Alright, in other words what we really need now is the story. If we can read the story before working on the RPG, things will be a lot more easy and we will finish areas even faster than before.
