I walk up to the starting line.
Five of us, ready to prove whose best.
My brother and best friend cheer me on from the side lines.
The sun sets behind me.
We crouch down to our starting position.
I dig my cleats into the brown dirt.
I breath in waiting for the signal.
BANG!
I take off.
Wind blowing through my hair.
So far ahead I get cocky.
Suddenly, my ankle twist and I hit the ground.
Face first I plummit into the soft soil.
I tumble and roll until I finally stop.
One passes by.
Two.
Three.
No one stops. Untill,
One girl stops and helps me up.
"You okay?" she asks.
I only nod.
I look up to her face and quickly look away.
"You wanna get something to eat?" she lifts my face up. "It'll be my treat."
I nod.
I may have lost the race, but I've won something even better.

solid letters lo'...:randompoke:

that scene sounded dope

:giggle: that girl likes this poem, but i wouldn't hope she reads it here

i'm off to do my own poems, but nice rhyme, writing is lame sometimes, girls are fickle, sometimes when they get too deep, they forget what to say, better to just tap into their thoughts, make sure to always be around, and offer them to play, but put on a show. :|
