After being hounded for weeks to actually watch this thing, I started from Series 1 and I'm nearly finished Series 2. All of my friends absolutely love this so, I thought, why not? After watching so much of it, I've developed an informed opinion on the show. A discussion between me and my friend, Craig, really sums up exactly what I think about it.

if they're supposed to be funny then i just think they're trying too hard to make it funny when, really, they're fine with the plot/jokes they've got

personally i think thats what makes the program,its not meant to confine to any strict rules, its almost like a kids show but darker, and fielding and barrat just come across as being like that naturally

its not dealing with strict, serious issues. therefore they can stretch the boundaries of what theyre trying to do, something that no other comedy shows that ive seen do, its deliberately meant to be psychadelic and outlandish, unlike something like friends, which alothough being hilarious, deals with more real life situations its not meant to be a sitcom, theres no real description for it, mainly due to the parts that you dont like, which is what seperates it from anything else that i've seen haha
