Well first I think I should start by saying that I didn't think that FF 12 was the best RPG I've ever played...and in fact, besides the battle system it was probably one of the worst. The storyline for me was a little bit straightforward (I like the twists!) all that and the characters didn't really develop like any of other Final Fantasies.
The cutscenes however did awe and capitivate me. That and the fact that the battle system was simply...great made me play through the entire thing.
Well sooo I get to the ending and beat the game and all that. And I'm thinking... "Woah! They killed Balthier and Fran" ...in the best way too. With that whole "Supporting Role" line after his big speech about not killing the leading man and all. Yet...at the very very end apparently Balthier and Fran survive.
That and they manage to steal back the airship from Vann and Penelo.
Am I just a bad person...or did anyone else feel sort of jipped out of a meaningful ending because they survived?
