So I've tried to get a couple of the rare cards from the Queen of Card sidequest. I lost Minimog to her, and then went to the man in black on the Galbadia Highstreet and after countless matches, no Kiros, no Joy. So won Minimog back, then lost Alexander to her, and can't seem to get Doomtrain from the pub owner in Timber.

Now I've read that's it best to get her to go to Dollet, does this have something to do with it.

It's really pissing me off! And Alexander took a damned age to get from Piet!

So any help on this would be appreciated! ^_^
 
Not only does it help that she go to Dollet...she HAS to go to Dollet before the new card is created. Let me explain.

The new cards from the Card Queen come from her artist father, who lives in Dollet. Once you lose a card to her, she chooses to go to a new location...and in order for her to "give" the card to her father, she must travel to Dollet. Ideally, you can just bounce her back and forth between Balamb and Dollet (by saving before you lose the card to her and restarting if the results aren't to your liking).

Arse! She is on her way to Esthar and I'm on disk 3. HMMMM This will take a lot of soft resetting!

That's the problem, she can only get to Dollet FROM Balamb. Once she starts her journey around the world, the best you can do is chase her back to Balamb, and try again. =\

She'll go from Esthar to the Lunar Base back to Balamb, I think...so you aren't too far from getting her back to where she needs to be. :wacky:
 
I had an saved game at FH and got her to Dollet! Kiros is mine!!!

So is it just rinse and repeat? Keep chasing her to dollet by losing the correct rare card?
 
Yes...keep bouncing her back and forth between Dollet and Balamb. From Dollet she tends to either to go Galbadia or Balamb...just use the hidden save point in the pub and soft reset if she says she's going to Galbadia.

Keep in mind that if she's already in Dollet when she gets a card she wants...the associated new card will already "appear".

Ahhh, thanks loads, I was scared I was going to have to try to do it all on disc 4 at lunar point with the same/plus/same wall malarky!

Dang Triple Triad

I didn't wanna start a new thread cause it would have been titled darn triple triad and soon merged with this so here it goes. When on Disk 4 if you done the secret card with Joker The card king stuff like that, you can play them on the Ragnorak. Doing this will land you ever rare card in the game except for Pupu.

Here's my question, If I card mod all my cards can I play the members again and get another? Like say if I had Squall (which I do) if I card - mod him would I be able to play joker or any of them to get it back?

Also from what I've heard is that you can do this but the ifrit card can be re obtainable from the fisher in FH.
 
The CC Group that's on the Ragnarok in Disc Four will have ANY rare cards that you missed (with the exception of the Queen of Cards' cards)...and will have ANY cards that you modded or otherwise lost (excluding PuPu, can't have you getting infinite Rosetta Stones :wacky:).

As long as you acquired the Queen's cards (Kiros, Doomtrain, Chubby Chocobo, Phoenix) during the course of the game, you can feel free to mod them and retrieve them from one of the CC members. I found that the Queen's cards were usually held by Diamond (one on the left), but the other rare cards that you missed/modded are distributed randomly throughout the various members. Don't forget that
Quistis
is in the CC Group as well
(put her in your party and go to the airlock in the back of the ship)

So yes, you can have an infinite number of any modded item. Enjoy. :awesome:
 
For the Ifrit card, if you lose him to the General in Galbadia, and then you challenge him so you get Rinoa, you can get Ifrit back of Martine who has been thrown out of Galbadia Garden and resides in FH by the mayors house. Not sure if that's what you mean, but I think it's worth a try for what Everyone says above, i think I'll try it ^_^
 
The above is true for Discs One, Two, and Three. Losing Ifrit to General Caraway in Deling City is the only way to get him to start using his Rinoa card. Then, Ifrit can be won from Martine in FH, who is sitting next to the Mayor's house (screen to the right).

However, in Disc Four...Ifrit can be regained from one of the CC members, just like any other rare cards you might have missed or modded. :monster:

Don't even bother with then Queen of card quest. This is what you do. On disk four you can find her. The Queen is located west from Tears point, across from it. Keep running around that area with Encounter-None juctioned and your screen will fade. You'll see the Queen at a crash landing site. You can keep battling her until you obtain all rare cards. Just keep saving and running back.

By Disc 4, the Card Quest has ended, regardless as to whether the player participated. At this point, the Queen has taken up permanent residence on the Estharian continent, just outside the southern border of the city barrier. There, the player can challenge her to win any rare cards they may have missed over the course of the game.

Sure, you can play the Card Queen at the crash site...if you enjoy playing with EVERY rule in the game active [Random, Same/Plus/Same Wall, Elemental, Sudden Death, etc.] It's doable...but you'll likely lose a lot of your cards in the process, and have to win them back.

I prefer to bounce her back and forth between Dollet and Balamb in Disc Two or Three. While it's a little more legwork...the rules in those regions are a LOT simpler than the Queen's Rules (all of them, regardless of rules you abolished/spread). :monster:
 
I didn't. The rules were random every time I played. It just depends on what your outcome is. When I played against her I won most games. Also, as I said, you can save after each win and keep trying.

I also got rid of my shitty cards so whenever random was used I always had rare cards out.

what about this pupu card can you get it on disk 4 when the queen of cards is still there?

I know I got a bunch of questions on this subject but its been bothering me for a while now.
 
Queen of Cards doesn't have the Pupu card. You get it through a quest. There are 5 UFO sightings around the world. (I think it was 5, correct me if I'm wrong.) Once you encounter all, Pupu will appear around the area where the Balamb garden use to be in battle. Give him 5 Elixers and you'll get the card.

All this can be done on disk 3 (after getting the airship) and four.
 
Managed to get Chubby Chocobo, Kiros, Irvine and Pheonix. (and Doomtrain briefly before i 'lost' him to the QOC) but now i'm without Minimog, chicobo, Sacred, Alexander and Doomtrain!

These are the cards you can win back from the Queen of Cards on Disk 4 at the lunar crash site?
 
If you are on Disc Four...you can get all of those listed BUT Doomtrain on the Ragnarok, from the CC Group. However, since you lost Doomtrain to the Queen...you have to win it back from her.

Sorry, but them's the breaks. :monster:
 
<sighs> that'll be another hour or so of soft resetting until i win it then!

Cheers for all the help, I thought I'd ruined it and I wasn't going to start over as I'm 60 +hrs in and on the end of disk 3! :neomon:
 
I am the Card Master!!! Finally did it!

The worst to get was Alexander in the end, I got Doomtrain from the Queen at the lunar crash site on my 3rd attempt, but Alexander took ages to get off the Diamond girls! But it's all done now!! Now to go mod everything! ^_^
