I also really loved this startegy game! One of the best tactics game out there (probably the best). I really liked all this custimizability (makes me feel like god).

You know, that is not the only reason that the game is one of the best. It's all the likable characters, the great plot (pay enough attention, and you might just get it), diverse battlefields and random weather patterns, and all sorts of evil creatures to destroy.

I love this game. If there was anybody that I would like to be but cant be, I would most defiantly would be Gafagarion. I thought he was so awesome when I first saw him. Heck I think any dark swordsman rocks my world
I like orlandu just cuz he's like... AWESOME!!!! he deserves to go in the hall of fame just under Tidus and Cloud and Zidan and... you get the point but he's still better than any other character in the game... (excluding Cloud he just rocks)
In some ways, FFT was ahead of its time. I haven't played a game like it since (including FFTA). I mean, it really felt like a real world, like a place that could have existed. That's one of the reasons I'm so excited about FFXII; we get to visit Ivalice again.
We used to poke fun at the battles for being so much longer than standard RPG battles ("I could go bake a pie before you finish this"), but that's just the level of involvement they required. The job change system was amazing, and gave players a level of customization, again, I haven't seen since.
The game's art was also amazing. No noses? "Unique," but we got used to it. The care taken to draw each character's portrait was just... *sigh* beautiful. And don't even get me started on the story. That's one plot we could analyze until Fabula Nova Crystallis completes and we still wouldn't cover everything.
...It's also the only FF I've written fan-fiction about.
