I found some info about this game online.It was a kickstarter project that has more than achieved its financial goal, so they started working on it apparently.

There's a free multiplayer version of this called The Banner Saga: Factions out on Steam right now. I only played a few games (won 1, lost 2), but so far it seems pretty sweet. I enjoy the art style a lot and the gameplay is very easy to get into and at the same time allows for a lot of strategy on behalf of the player.

When you attack, you use your character's strength stat to attack either their armour or their strength. Strength is also your character's health, so the more your opponent attacks your strength, the weaker your character also becomes in battle. But in order to take away their strength, their armour value cannot be higher than your strength level, and the higher your strength is compared to their armour, the more you can hurt their strength for. It's a pretty simple mechanism, but it allows for some pretty hard choices some times.

The final version with a proper RPG single player campaign should be really really good.
