Welcome to the 27 True Runes, a fanclub for those that enjoy the Suikoden RPG series on PSX and PS2, including Suikoden 1 through 5, and the Tactics spin-off.

This is basically a place to discuss all kinds of things about Suikoden. The world, the story, and of course, the many many characters it brings. It is not allowed to post rude/insulting comments toward Suikoden...if you hate the series, there's no point to post here. You are allowed to share your dislikes about some aspects in a mature manner. The games are packed with all kinds of things, so naturally you can't like everything about it.

If you wish to join, you can ask here or PM me. I don't consider this an RP or an RPG-system club, but I don't object to either of them.
 
I will join. I love Suikoden 1 and 2. I have played 4 also but thought it was of average standard.
 
Suikoden II and V remain my favorites. Suikoden IV was good in my opinion, the graphics were nice, the battle interface was good, only sad that only 4 characters could enter. But I also thought it was lacking a real "world"...just a few islands, a few of which are only meant for treasure hunting. The boat travels took far too long sometimes, with all the random battles around. I have nothing against random battles on the worldmap, but I do when it takes about 10 minutes to get to another island even without fights.^_^

And I thought it was far too easy to miss a lot of events. First time around I went to Kika's island when it first became available. As such, bad items, barely any characters... Second time around it rocked, though...especially when I got Mitsuba early in the game. I :inlove: Mitsuba.
 
V was maybe 5-10 years before the events in the first Suikoden, so there's few characters who had a star in previous games, like Jeane and Viki (obliviously) Lorelai, Killey and Georg Prime. It's a great game though, so try it if you're a fan.
Oh, and can I join too in this club too? ^_^
 
The hardest character to find in Suikoden 1 in my opinion was Crowley.
The hardest in Suikoden 2 was Fu Su Lu, I still never found him to this day.
