Does anyone else love those fights that you just kinda watch in awe as a major character gets drilled in the battle that you have no control over

i can think of 2 in ff4 and they were both so cool :D

1. Tellah vs. Golbez; when Tellah uses Meteo and it does 9999!!!!! i was like....wow:O :P

2. FuSoYa and Golbez vs. Zeromus, w/meteo.....but wait, it didn't work!!! haha, that was sweet.

what do u guys think of those no-control battles

Yeah I've always liked them. They always let you know that something big is going to happen. XD. Although, it may have been fun to control Telluh during his final battle.

I liked the no-control battles, it just signified their importance and allowed the battle to swiftly flow by, rather than controlling it yourself and having to waot for ages to see the cutscene

that battle is hilarius especially if he misses every time lol and could you imagine if tellah could have damage limit break when he uses meteo

the cinematic battles are easily my favourites thewre is no hard paced battling and you can't lose

I loved those battles.
It was great turning points for the games and I loved watching the epic battles.
Come to think of it they only had them in 4,5, and 6.
Shame they don't do them in new Final Fantasies.

Actually V didn't have any 'no control' battles. The only one that came close was Galuf vs Exdeath but you got to control Galuf for that.

The Tellah vs Edward battle went on for ages if Tellah kept missing >.<

Cecil's battle with himself at Mt. Trials was half-cinematic. That was one of my favorite parts of the game, and kinda profound how you literally have to put your sword down by not attacking in order to become a true Paladin.

Really? i had no idea (I give him boss equipment to pwn that 'spoony bard') and I laugh when Edward (coughbrittneyspearscough) Chris Von Muir gets pwned by 60 year old men.

He was so weak IMO and I really liked the scripted battles cos they added that feel of importance yet still have a battle feel (imagine Tellah casting Meteor in overworld sprites *shudders*).
