FireDeath

What was the best summon you have ever seen in the whole serie.
For me it was Ark and the Knights of Round, the "Eternal Darkness" and "Ultimate End" are really... really... can't describe

I think FFVII had the best summons. The ones in VIII were so long and . . . boring that I fell asleep in the middle of them. It was kind of a counter-incentive to using them. The summons in the handheld ones, disappointingly even in FFIII for the DS, are really basic. I mean, the summons can do 3 different things at random when you summon them, but it's all one little scene that looks the same.

But yeah, Ultimate End is the awesomest. It's kind of scary.

The summons I remember most fondly are Bahumut Zero in FFVII, Diablo and Odin from FFVIII and from FFX it was Anima. Can't remember any from FFIX that stood out well apart from the FMV sequences.

I'm a big Anima fan. That thing is frightening, and it's even scarier once you figure out the story behind it.

The reasons why FFVIII's summoning took so long was that you could boost their attack. I loved FFVIII's summoning more than any other. FF9 had some good summoning also.

FFVI had some pretty good summong like Crusader and Unicorn. FFT's Cyclops was awesome also.

I liked all of the Bahamut summons in FFVII, those are probably my favorite. I also liked Doomtrain from VIII and Zodiac from FF Tactics.

Also, I don't know if it is a summon but Super Nova in FFVII is really cool the first couple of times.

FFXs Shiva was awsome, gotta love that finger snap, also bahamut, odin, anima are really great too.

Bahamut ZERO from FFVII
KOTR from FFVII
Leviathan from FFVIII
Eden from FFVIII
Promantha from FFVIII

Wait wait, what's Ultimate End?

My favorites are Bahamut from FFX and FFIX.

Question, is there a chance some videos of summons are available? I should check youtube.

Although it was quite basic (compared to Knights of the Round etc) I was quite fond of Ifrit's summon sequence; it just looked so powerful and terrifyingly brutal.
