Stuff about Auron I've been asked

This is actually pretty cool. Esspesially with the master trait. Auron guarded Braska, and when Braska died, Auron had no one to serve, thus became a drifting person.

Although if you are suggesting that Auron's character is completely stolen from real life events or people, then you might as well question about 75% of the other characters in the series.
 
Oh no no no.
Auron is one of the most original characters FF have done I think. I'm just explaining why he has Saké at his hip and his arm is tucked into the chest of his cloak.
 
Oh, yeah. I already knew all of this stuff because I researched Auron on Wikipedia (since he's one of my favorite characters) and I stumbled upon the ronin article. It was pretty cool. That way I was able to explain my friend (who is also playing FFX) those things about Auron that he didn't understand (tucking one arm on his coat, and the flask).

I've never thought Auron as ronin, but now that you've presented this article, I'm seeing all the connections now.

Of course, the feel of the game wasn't entirely Japanese, so I never would have figured this. 0_0
 
I never knew that, but I knew he was a monk but not exactly a ronin. Wierd, I never actually though about those questions that you put in your first post.

Auron's Overdrive's set's name is Bushido. Pretty much reinforces the whole ronin thing.

Like I said in the other thread, everyone knows it's Tidus' babies.
 
Hmm that' strange, I understand most of it.. It's a good explanation, Auron seemed to be wandering until he offered his services to Yuna.
 
Hey that is a pretty legit basis of the many pieces of final fantasy 10, I liked the part about Yojimbo, although it's from wikepedia I looked up a different source, and it all checked out so that's cool. Nice link :-)
 
What? Auron didn't become a drifter after Braska died! Auron died before Braska did. Auron was struck down by Yunalesca and Braska was killed when he used Jecht as the Final Aeon.

After Yunalesca mortally wounds Auron, Auron travels back over Mt. Gagazet with infant Yuna (because he promised Braska he would take care of Yuna). Auron makes it to the Inn in the Calm Lands and stays there at the request of the innkeeper, Rin. However, Auron feeling
he is close to death leaves in the middle of the night and gets to the outskirts of Bevelle where he meets Kimahri and then Kimahri promises to raise Yuna. That is where Auron dies, and Yuna goes to Besaid with Kimahri.


He became a Ronin when earlier in life Auron refused to marry the daughter of like a high priest or something, not after Braska died. Auron died first.
 
^ Technically he became a Ronin when Braska was killed.

A Ronin is a Samurai without a master, and when he was dismissed from Monkhood he got a new master, Braska....

And as far as I can remember, Braska would've died first...

yeah braska died frist because auron saw braska die felt blike an inustice was done because sin will come back and decided to confront yunalesca and then die after he got to bevelle
 
Auron didn't become a drifter after Braska died... but Braska did die before him. Auron stood up to Yunalesca and was cut down but it wasn't right when Braska and Jecht accepted to sacrifice themselves for Spira. It was a little later... but not by a lot.

"But she struck me down."
"Somehow I made my way, crawling, down Mount Gagazet."
"But my strength left me just outside Bevelle. That's where Kimahri found me."

"I've been wandering ever since, never going to the Farplane."
